Foreign parts, and self bult bike in Singapore

Hi All.

 

I am thinking of building a Harley style bopper bike.

 

What is the deal with buying motorcycle parts and getting them shipped into Singapore? Are there import taxes for parts?

 

When the bike is done how do I go about getting it registered here and on the road? Anybody know the procedure or costs involved?

Is that possible? I mean to self build a bike & have it registered in SG? The restrictions here are so damn tight that we can't even mod it, much less to build 1 from scratch...

A: Either way, you're testing your luck, but for one of em, you might actually get away with it...

 

I think you're gonna make a lot of people dumbfounded when registering bike, buying insurance and road tax, coz they wouldn't know what to select under "Make/Model"

 

Nevertheless, I applaud your spirit! There are some people around doing heavy modding of choppers/bobbers, keeping very very very low profile...
