wahah any good way to recommend to clean ur chain?? like wht tools u use..etc..heee

This is what I do:

Things you need:

1) Car Jack

2) Lots of cloth

3) Toothbrush (optional)

4) GT85

5) Maxima Chainwax(less fling) or Maxima ChainLube

To clean your chain:

(We are assuming your chain is those "black",cover with grime and dirt, type)

1) Jack up rear wheel using the car jack

2) spray gt85 on your chain one round (you will see that the chain is getting clean and all the black dirt will drip to the floor, this is gonna make the floor very dirty so put some cloth to collect the dirt)

3) Use new cloth and wipe the chain clean, if you feel that the chain is getting abit "dry" spray some more GT85 and wipe some more till you are happy

4) Use the toothbrush to loosen the dirt and grime in the chain(Optional)

5) Now spray GT85 on the rear spocket and clean with cloth, (Optional: you can use toothbrush to help you get to those hard to reach places)

6) How clean you want the chain to be is up to you.

To lube your chain:

(For me, I will clean the chain, leave it overnight without any lube. Morning ride to work and evening come home straight away lube my chain as it's nice and warm best time to lube your chain. Also GT85 leave a layer of Teflon which should be ok for a day's ride. Leave the lubed chain overnight)

1) Jack up your rear wheel

2) Clean any more dirt you see as when you ride home some dirt is bound to appear.

3) Spray your inner plates with lube (one round) then spray the outer plates with lube (one round).(see picture) There is no need to spray on the rollers as the rollers need very little lubrications.

4) The reason why your chain lube flings is mostly coz you spray too much lube and you spray at all the wrong places. Just spray like what the pic shows will do, dun worry about the other parts of the chain not getting lubed. When you ride the centrifugal force will spread the lube for you.

For subsequent time:

1) Just wipe off the dirt and lube the chain.

2) You should have a clean and well lube chain thorough out. The only issue is sometimes I lazy.

like clean the chain every 3 months and lube the chain every week/after wet riding..
the chain on my bike hav being on it for 3 years plus..
went for track sessions, daily transport and touring various places like thailand..
still running gd.. juz that the spocket is starting to wear..

oh.. one more thing..

normally i will get oil brush(those u use in army) and a bottle of kerosene. wet the brush wif kerosene den brush it several times over ur chain.. ur grease on the chain will slowly dissolve and drip down.. after making sure it is clean, use a cloth and completely wipe dry the whole chain..follow my wax/lub ur chain..simple as that.. normally i will clean my chain b4 cleaning and waxing my bike la..

As per above..... As for Car Jack, new ones cost ard $15. 2nd hand ones cost about $10 or less depending on the condition. IMHO car jack is something you can use for a long long time, might as well get new one.
