RVF pickup is faster den CBR but the top end don tink can match for L and N model but R model maybe par coz got powercut. But if RVF mod not too sure liao but confirm pickup is much faster den fireblade unless we mod as well? not too sure wad mod can win RVF pickup :cheeky:

RVF use V thus more pick-up while inline 4 Fireblade have more better top-end

based on both rides in stock

I tot RVF is faster?

Rvf has the pick up, because it has newer technology than ours... so call the V- engine, and ours is in-line engine, so not very fast in pick up compare to Rvf but for sure it has the top end....

No matter Rvf has the after market End can or in stock End Can ... there no way they can overtake us..

But sometime it depends on riders also lo..

Sorry to those Rvf Riders as i mean no offence...as this is proven using Cbr 'R' Model with "Tong" exhaust and Rvf Fr plate using Yoshi end can.. Rvf Cannot catch up with the blade.

I hear from my friend whose now riding K4 .. In the past, he was riding GSX 400, and he though tat washin carb and changing of spark plugs is a must for every months to actually improve perforance til one dae he realise tat there izzit much power compare to the first time he took over the bike, the feelin is like ur bike totally has no power lo.....

So he actually ask the mech and the mech told him, it not necessay to always clean the carb cos ours is different from class 2b.. they using 2-T so it better for them to clean their carb to achieve better perforance..

But for us it different stroy, we only clean our carb when we can actually feel tat our bike has no power or i should say when you feel tat the bike has (Mei You Li), then it time for u to clean the carb to clear away the carbon.

Dun tell me u always clean ur carb wan meh... til now there no problem ma...

Sparks Plugs i will actually change when it is the third time i change my engine oil. But if u have a lot of money then u can change every time u change ur engine oil lo...

Oil Filter is a must definity when changing of engine oil....

the position of the carbs are behind the combustion cylinder,

before the combustion process begin where got carbon to get into the carbs

not too sure bout the 2strokers though whether the 2t pump premixes the 2t before the intake of fuel into the carb

however i believe the rationale behind cleaning of the carbs is more of clearing away the dirt and residue that comes from using petrol with impurities/dirt. The impurities/dirt may also come from the intank rust.

therefore washing of carbs too regular will not see an increase in performance as it takes quite a while for the dirt to get accumulated in the carbs and starts affecting the performance

guys i read up the manual before and rem vaguely tat spark plugs can last u for 10 000 k before u need to change but of coz i will change at 8000 k depends on individual. Don seem to me its neccessary to keep changing spark plugs even if u r rich...:cheeky:

but if u realli rich den change engine oil evry mth lor coz tat will ensure the bike performance is maintained but if ur bike realli no power den mite be setting probs rather than keep washing carbs. maybe flushing the tank is another option to ensure its clean if prob still there den check the main jets and pilot jets to see any damage or izzit suitable for the bike....maybe the trottle cable oso 1 of the prob ...... :goodluck:

actualli most spark plugs have the self-cleaning ability (ie. burning away the carbon that's building up on the tip area) however it's mainly dependant on the tuning of the bike... too rich/lean and the plug will not be able to clean itself effectively and also choosing the appropriate plug type(cold/hot) is impt.

and most importantly, religiously changing the engine oil will be more beneficial to the engine than other additives that you may want to add to the bike.

never never add additive to engine, its juz like taking drugs, when u stop using, u will feel your bike to be no power and start to get flu. So try not to add.

Generally rust and corrosion in the system will discolour. If you have regular water in your cooling system then it will make it much, much worse. You want to flush out whats in there with fresh water and then run through a radiator/cooling system cleaner to clear out any build up of rust and scale in the system. Usually you get a bottle of the stuff from auto shops, add it into the cooling system with the fresh water then ride around for 15-20 minutes so it heats up and gets through the system and cleans it.

Then you go flush that out with clean water again. Then drain the water out completely and fill up with proper coolant. Proper green coolant will have have rust and corrosion inhibitors which will stop it from happening again. I usually just get a big bottle of 50/50 premix from the car shops and use that.

The result will be a cooler running bike as the flush will have cleaned out all the deposits from the little passageways in your radiator allowing the coolant to flow better. Proper new coolant will ensure that it doesn't block up again.

In this kind of climate I would be replacing the coolant every 6 months or so as its soooooo easy to overheat with the hot weather.

Ya, my CBR RRR model can hit more than 200km/hr but just that i have not tried the top yet. But i was just wondering how much higher it can go. Think my previous owner remove the power cut thingy though i dunno how he removed it.

Urs can hit 240km/hrm what is ur bike model? And as for pick up and top with the RVF, i can only say that CBR RULEZ.. but when come to pick up with GSXR 400, CBR lose far far in pick up, i think because their spocket is much bigger? Anyone can clarify?

Then for kulai trip, around how many ppl going? Maybe i wanna follow.. hehe.

Just changed my coolant yesterday....

The coolant is topped up at the top right(when u sitting on the bike) of the radiator....

To flush it out, its on bottom left....

Dun use tap water cuz it may result as a brown liquid(rust)....Use a proper coolant, if can, get a good quality one.. :thumb:

BUT...if u're not sure how to flush and retop-up the coolant, please dun do it...go to shop and learn from the mech!!!

And of course...do not open the radiator cap when your engine is hot...U wouldn't wan me to explain this... :cheeky:

July 04 - June 05: Krr 150

Sept 05 - Apr 07: CBR400RRR

Apr 07 - Apr 10: R1
