Hello alex, how to join? Btw, the trip is one day only or staying over night one? Hehe.. Touring like cool.. But scare old bike cannot tahan.. U also ridding cbr 400 ah?

 

Old bike still can go touring if u maintain the bike well.. Cbr400 is my previous bike some time back. Currently riding cbr1000.

if yr bike is in gd condition, u can join in any outings..

like atremis, he ride his cbr400 up to thailand wif us this year.

he has no problem wif his bike throughout the trip..

haha. thnks for the info! but i still not sure mine is hurricane header or not. maybe i'll took some pics and show here.

im quite wooried also skali wiring or wadever gonecase cannot fix how on the spoit.. coz u noe la old bike. but did u guys bring anytink incase anything happen if the bike is down at malacca or anywhere? stuffs like extra battery, fuse and etc etc.

 

extra batt is rather heavy..

wat we do is install voltmeter on the bike..

keep track of the reading and make sure the reading is within the healthy range..

if the batt is more than 2 years, juz change the batt before going for a tour if thou the reading is still ok..

fuse must bring a few as spare..

spare clutch cable is advisable.

spare rect is optional too..

yah.. staying 2 days 1 night.. hotel has already been booked.. :) its better if u guys join us out riding in sg first coz we dun really know ur riding patterns and bike condition.. ya u are right he is riding cbr400 but +600...

How much for Spraying the header back to Black colour???

 

the effect dun last long..

after a while started to peel off and show the brownish colour of rust..

have to sand off the rust..

and spray wif hi-temp black spray..

the effect needed will reflect how long the finishes last..

i got a ideal, put black colour heat wrap....

 

i dun recommend exhaust wrap for cbr400 as the header will rust over time..

the wrap will hinder the inspection of header when there is a leak somewhere..

I find my CBR get hot very easy .. Do you guys CBR same too ??

 

yes it does get hot, tt's wad the coolant is for. but make sure ur meter doesnt go too high up. mine used to be very hot too. the temp meter was cleared. but after i change the radiator n all the coolant piping, it nv go pass the M alphabet from the TEMP wording.

 

Correct me if i am wrong, i am still learning too.

yea man same here haha eva since i changed my radiator my temp will nva go beyond M even in jams, the most it would go is M and it wun stay there for long cos the fan will start to cool it off... big bikes = hots bikes haha...

bro... u new wif cbr?? hmmm... its kinda common for bigger cc sports bike to get the temp up easily esp on hot weathers... if it rains still ok... but if the weather is hot... after ridin in traffic jams or low gear etc or even when u high rev it, the temp will go up pretti high, and tts y we need proper coolin system...

 

whr ur temp go up till?? for the meter , TEMP if it hits P i tink its beta u go for a check on the coolant and stuff...

hahas. cbr 1000 looks cool man with its exhaust just right below the seat.. haha.. but maintenance same as cbr4? do cbr1000 need to service carb? its FI right?

 

the exhaust under the seat is 04 to 07 model. latest model is more like shorty on the rite side..

cbr1000 is FI bike.. juz need to go throttle synco once awhile, abt once a year..

maintenance is rather cheaper than cbr400 in the sense that parts dun spoil so often.. rather new bike mah..

but of cos the parts cost more..

I was riding my bike on ecp today. As i was riding half way suddenly my bike got no electricity... As in all the lights on the bike suddenly dun work... The speedo and tacho also. But the thing is the bike still work.

 

Then as the bike still can move i tried to travel home. everything seems normal except when i reach rpm5 the bike suddenly sound like machine gun and i experience ''HUGE'' lost of power. i slowed down and when it reached below rpm5 all is normal again...

 

 

wat is the possible reasons... i have to work not much time to travel to bike shops... so i wanna know wat is the prob and approximately how much do i need for the repairs so i can prepare myself....
