Hi, my bike when cold start especially in the morning its very difficult to start. After reading the comments here, pressing the start button then pulling the choke will start the bike easily without throttling.

However if i ride my bike at constant low speed or in traffic, sometime theres a sudden quick drop of rpm while idling for a while that may result in engine dieing off. I notice this often happen if my headlight is on. I dun face this problem if i off my headlight, my voltage reading is healthy when off or on headlight.

Is it possible that my tuning is out? Cause afteri riding on expressway, my idling is stable.

Any views on what is the possible causes?

does this happen when the rad fan abt to switch on?

I couldn't be sure does it happen when the rad fan abt to be on. Does the rad fan being switch on causes the rpm to drop?

bro, the idle speed should be checked and adjusted before n after the carburettors are synchronised (balanced) n when it is obviously too high or too low. before adjusting the idle speed, make sure the valve clearances n spark plug gaps r correct. also, turn the handlebars back n forth n see the idle speed change as this is done. if it dose, the throttle cable may not be adjusted or routed correctly, or may be worn out.

went to 1 shop 'new s moter'

sp(10yrs coe) 2.7k+insurance=3.89k

dwnpay 1k=2.8k litat

if pay by 2 yrs. 2.8k+300(lnid loan,so nid pay this amount)=3.1k

3.1k add 14%(1 yr 7%) dan divide 24 mths=$150per mth

Haha ok. Yesterday i encounter the problem again. So i stop the bike to the side and try to create the same scenerio again. My bike light was on and the fan was off when the bike die off. So i off the light and start the bike again. Everything was ok. Then i try on the light , the bike after like 1 min will encouter sudden drop in rpm and raise then drop till finally die. Then i try start bike with light off again, everytime is ok. This time i on the light then immediately switch on the fan. The rpm drop and die instantly. All this time the temp is around mid level and my bike voltage is ok ( slight drop when i on the fan , slighly less then 12 )

 

Is it due to wiring or fan or tuning out or??? I am really confuse leh. Thanks for ur input.

Hi, thanks for ur insight. The carburettor was synchronised at the shop so i dunoe if they did wat u say but i did try moving the handlebars back n forth but idle speed nv change. Anyway i not going back to the shop again, i told them this problem they tell me to wash and synchronise . But in the end nv solve the problem. Any gd bike shop to recommend?

no problem bro.. but the most importance thing is the valve clearance HAS to be done up before u proceed for carburettor synchronised..^^

also u may check ur spark plug after ur ride n see if they r any other form of (stuff) or colour change to comfirm weather u have enough oil n stuff..
