Hey people, just purchased my CBR400.. Currently in the shop doing full engine works/checks/wirings and whatnot.

One question, is it advisable to change to a yoshi-rainbow ended endcan? Or should i just keep it stock?

And also, do cbr riders meet up? Cause i would love to meet cbr riders but i dont know much out there. Mostly all my friends RVF =/..

so wat are the cons you heard?

no bike is perfect even class 2 also same. each bikes got their own problems.

if not how bike shop earn money(joking.)

 

my cbr currently ride for a year alr. not much problems. just wear and tear parts that are inevitable

dont know about the electrical part lea. mine no problem. heard that others had. but then again. as long as your wiring is neat and clean(dont install this and that.). i doubt there will be much problems. mine not very clean anyways.

depends on your pocket? got expensive one. got average ones. just get decent ones will do. unless you always high rev then i recommend you to get those high end ones.

 

coolant wise. got engine ice which i believe you alr know. water wetter. normal $5-10 dollars one.

i think no matter how good the coolant is. if your cooling system is not good. also no use.

it all doesnt matter to me. lol. some say L good. R lousiest. i'm riding a R model. and it is good for me. so i dont really care.

parts wise. so far i havent got anything that i cant find. except some small internal parts that doesnt really matter. as told by my mech la. lol.

It all depends on the rider, some say L model good, some R, I'm riding N model... L model top speed is faster than R and N models because of the headers... But must remember that bigger header go faster, u go faster then the petrol also go very fast... Parts still ok la... Radiator order 2 weeks can get Liao... I ask them slowly deliver... Hehe... Oh ya, remember to install wire mesh to protect your radiator when u get your bike... Radiator not fun to play with... Experienced myself before... Hit by stone and the coolant squirt out like free... Waste my $58 put the martini racing coolant... -.-

Wah the radiator can until like that ah? I also riding N model, just recently purchased only.. But my pillon footrest pretty messed up.. Dunno if can replace anot ( Because of the dunno what special hidden fold pillon footrest thing that everybody's talking about )..

I bought in December 2011, February 2012 change the coolant and engine oil. Lucky I change, I check radiator all rust water. Zzz. Engine oil all black. When I purchase bike that time, the mech say already change engine oil and coolant. Lol. Lucky I check den go pasir gudang. Otherwise I think my bike stuck there already. And maybe because the radiator inside all rusty den can't handle the high temperature when playing at pasir gudang so it squirt out... Radiator dun play... Will cause alot of problems like radiator seal melting (causing the coolant to mix with engine oil), piston cease or jam (need to overhaul 4pistons and block). Not fun de... Lol...

Depend on u... And depends on the bike shop trustworthiness already... Like mine say engine oil and coolant already changed, I don't need to change. I checked, black engine oil and rusty water in the radiator. So I seldom go back that shop already. And I believe some guys out there are more trustworthy than some bike shops. So it all depends on u to choose...

Strange noise coming from the engine can be because of a few reasons...

1) Conrod loose;

2) engine oil very dirty;

3) radiator seal broke and coolant mixed with engine oil;

4) piston/block scratched;

5) valve jammed.

I not too sure what's wrong with your bike since I just got mine in dec.

But from previous experience with my 2b bike, numbers 3,4 & 5 causes the loss of power... And another thing, header maybe loose, also cause power loss...
