But the only prob is my working time. I'm not like most pple, who work in the mornin or have a regualr 8-5 job. I work in the nite, my work starts from 7.30pm - 3am. And i work 6days per week. Sunday is my oni off day which i normally use to accompany my gf. Sometimes is not i dun want to go or meet up, unless the outing can last till after 3am or its in the afternoon of Mon to Fri or its after 11pm on Sun only than i can make it.

for u,i try to arrange afternoon meeting.Sunday i dont wanna touch cos its gf day for u.i know hows girls are like when u spend your only off day with bikers.

its the 24 hr indian shop that quoted me 85rm.. haven try yet. noon i don think i can make it leh prankster, wad about night time?

i noticed yesterday when my headlight is on, the brighter one(not high beam) , i press my electric start no reaction. After i off the light den i can start. anyone noe wad may be the cause of the prob?

Yes but your bike sucks in air from outside through the airbox not from somewhere inside the engine. So it is large changes in ambient temperature that will make a difference in this respect.

Abt $65 for brandless one. Branded Yusa one cost more ex. I changed mine for $85. I only use maintainance free battery. Rememeber to see the mechanic wait for at least 30 min after he pour in the acid/chemical before u start the bike. Some mechanic lazy to wait and directly start engine. Heard the instruction is to wait and that will prolong the life of battery. If never wait, maybe will spoilt faster.

Valve clearances cost depends entirely on how many shims need to be replaced. Price range from around $300-$350 depending on how many shims (more shims to replace = greater labour time).

 

It does make quite a noticable difference if they were out before and is definately worth doing on a used CBR400 for your own piece of mind as these things have a tendency to drop valves when pushed hard if you do not get the clearances checked properly.

 

Only need to get them checked maybe every couple of years (service interval on the book is about 20k klms I think from memory).

 

Also the CBR400 does not have a timing chain.
