ok.. my coil rod hit my engine till got 1 big hole in the middle. size of my palm..

 

i been hearing this like FAN(NOT WORKING) THAT KIND of sound.. so on that day to work.. the sound get louder.. but i thought is my fan problem..

 

so when i open throttle like something pushing back the accerlation.. but still can acceleration but the power was like reluctant to come forward..

 

 

then i was rushing to work.. FORGET abt the problem i have.. i open throttle.. THEN BONG!!! then i see side mirror BIG LUMP OF SMOKE COVERING FIRST LANE N SECOND LANE.. i was at first lane..

 

 

then i already clutch in.. my engine already die when got the BONG sound.. then i try release cluth then i fish tail.. so i cluth in.. pull to the road shoulder..

 

 

then after i stop.. got this BURNING smell n my machine on smoke.. then SMOKE MACHINE SONG started .. then like that lo.. haha..

 

 

ok la.. back to serious.. i just got this bike in left than 5 month.. then i really need to find engine at least to laast till i get class 2.. if not i got 2 choice.. one is SCRAP which really damage my pocket .. OR i keep my bike.. sell off every single part of my bike least damaging to my pocket.. hai..

exactly the same prob as my fren his oso got a hole, conrod hit the engine case causing the hole the hole shd be arnd here: under the headers beside the oil filter so my fren too is looking for a 2nd hand whole engine, my mech quoted abt 2k to do it all up. if u wanna noe which mech feel free to sms me at 98554161 u can try to pm me but it doesnt seem to be working

Just gotten my hurricane today. Need to ask a few questions as I'm very new to CBR.

 

What bulbs are our speedometer using? T10 or T5? How many bulbs total?

As for headlights, H4 or H7? How about rear brake light? what is the connection used?

 

As for my bike, I keep having this once-a-while problem. Bike just suddenly dies off when moving. The "oil" light lights up and everything else is dead. I kinda suspect the igntion switch. when I turn on the ignition, sometimes nothing light up, most of the time I get a very bright "neutral" and "oil" lights, sometimes I get a very very weak "neutral" and "oil" light.

 

Need help from more experienced bladers. Thx in advance!

 

Could just be an old battery that needs to be replaced, may need to do the rectifier as well as they tend to be what stops the battery from charging or over charges and kills the battery when they go. Spend a few dollars and replace rectifier and battery now as it doesn't hurt to do so.

2k for a whole new engine, as in 2nd hand lah but coz my fren was worst his gf's dad owns a bike shop sae it costs 5k to do back up i was wtf? 5k u can overhaul a car liao.. theres actually another cheaper way but its very f*ked up ting to do.. weld it back loh.. but no promises tt it wun giv way

You are still going to have to spend a lot of money depending on the internal damage to the engine. If the crank cases aren't too bad you may be able to reweld the cases but you are going to still need a complete bottom end rebuild with all bearings replaced, possibly a new crank, probably new rods, should do new pistons and rings at same time, then you have to hope that when the conrod let go the piston didn't score the barrels or you will have to have them machined and recoated and then if the piston touched the head may have to get a replacement head or at best get the head repaired and some valves replaced.

 

Overall it will be cheaper just to get a new engine. Try Wan Racing at Eunos, they have lots of CBR400 parts and have had spare engines available at very reasonable prices in the past.

patti back was one of the option but my hole is way to big.. can only get my engine or scrap my bike.. damn suay.. hai.. my mechanic say if patti back.. my engine is useless..
