hey people, what is the voltage displayed on your volt meter while riding, not idling. My bike is getting around 13.6 volt like tt while riding (low beam off, position and pilot light on). Is that normal?

 

12v is normal without headlight, when u moving it charge ur battery so it get more den 12v it normal le dont worried =)

300+ RM sounds kinda cheap.

 

No wire cutting, i juz change my wire harness, i oso wun let them cut any of my wire. It is a plug and play thing.

Hmmz, riding w/o mud guard is an offence. So ninja be careful wif tp, k. They sometime dun accept the reason like mud guard sent for respraying.:giddy:

question(s).

 

1) what are jet kits?

2) how do they help in bike performance?

3) is it a add-on or is it a change of parts? (add-on eg. voltmeter, change eg. endcans, air filters)

4) $$$?

 

Jet kit are the whole jetting inside ur carb. Aftermarket jet kit tend to come along wif other modification like high flow air filter and full system exhuast. Otherwise the power gain is not significant. I heard from mechanic, Aftermarket jet kit is not road friendly. The power come in only when u whack ur bike to rpm 7k and above. From rpm 2k to 6k, the power quite laggy. Worst than OEM kit.

I think is normal. U use a multimeter and test the voltage across the battery. It shld gif a higher reading. Coz the voltmeter we install is tap from the main ignition wire to the headlight wire or other wires. So when we on our bike den the voltmeter will on. However, the voltage across the main ignition wire and the headlight wire for instance will differ from the voltage come directly from the battery as the headlight will comsume some of the voltage thus giving a lower reading on our voltmeter.

so dats y i took a special type of rider to appreciate d 750s... power of 1 litre but wif handling of a 600..

 

I was previously riding a k4 600..

 

alot of riders mentality is class 2 lehx, why settle for a 750 when u can ride a 1l..If not is 600cc enough liaox, stupid larx u, change from 600 to 750.. :lol:

Owning a 750 was what i wanted since 2B, just like how i wanted a PGM 4 for my 2A..

 

If it happens so that i'm so suicidal till i decided nt to drive after this bike, might consider a Duc 848..

Different Mechs tell me different things. So, I left my bike with another Mech, hopefully they can give me a different diagnosis. Anyway, depending on what time i get the bike, I may go for a small petrol run in Msia to see if my problems are all resolved.

most of the connections on the bike is parallel connections.. therefore even if one component is faulty, will not lead to open circuit and cause other electrical component to stop working. so most wires will read the same voltage.. including the batt.. unless the potential diff(voltage) u tested at diff negative points. the inconsistency of reading of voltmeter and muiltmeter is mainly due to the voltmeter power source. u will notice that these meter oso need its own power source for the testing and display purposes.

Can.... our gang areadi have tis plan to instal cbr600 body, saitao n lighting at AGL.. oni $300+++

 

but nobody wan to sacrifice n b d 1st to try out cos hv to peave d bike at AGL for 2 weeks..

 

Can u leave ur cbr 400 for 2 weeks at AGL ?? if yes we bring u ther ... cos few other riders wan to do also ..juz dat they nid their bikes for transport
