erm ... maybe u can check ur handle bar the blancer.. take out see whether there is a metal rod inside ... sometimes tat's is the cause... or tyre and cone bearing ...

that time my whole bike vibrate when i went above 60k/m, then found out my rear tyre was punctured. after repaired, was normal again.

 

but my tire in good condition, so it left balancer and cone bearing ? hm... thank all for ur advise (^.^) cheers

bros just wanna clarify if there's steering damper for our blade..just wanna know and would it lessen the vibration..and if there is which brand would be a good choice and estimated price..tanx in advance..also how do we check if the cone bearing has any prob?

 

damper is use not for reduce vibration..

rather to avoid tank slap and high speed stability..

diff brand gave diff damping spec.. is the brackets that aid to attach the damper to the bike..

but i nv come across cbr400 wif damper..

btw guys.. the fan of ur cbr did u guys made a switch to manually switch it on? or u guys just let it automatic?? cause yest i got this encounter when i reached boat quay's back alley to park my bike.. i got off then got greeted with a smell.. looked at my temperature gauge it's quite high.. but i don't know whether it's smell from the bike or the smell of the back alley..

ya u can fix the on fan switch..very cheap only.. do take note of ur temp.. coz if too high.. something will spoil..not sure wad is the name of the part.. the smell confirm is from ur bike.. some kind of funny smell de.. best is dun let ur bike overheat..if not all sort of problems will come... lol..

to check if your cone bearing is fine, turn your handel bar left to right slowly. there should not be a feeling of springing to the 12 oclock position while you are reacing to the 12 oclock. may be i dun know how to put it in to words, next outing i will explain practicaly.

 

 

you can fix a steering damper on our bike. there was this guy rommie in our thread did before. but i thinks its function is to prevent the front wheel from wobble....no vibaration.

if still abit hot, try changing your coolant. i changed mine last month, felt abit difference, cos i used engine ice, where as my fren used this cool aide, n works much better for him.

mine have switch.. my ex owner fixed it.. kind of helpful.. but my bike never heats up tat much so i dun on the fan also.. the temp only rises when i keep changing gears.. which i dun do these days unles very jam... or alot traffic light
