u check the wires connecting to the rectifier, if its burnt then spoil liao. its better if u check with voltmeter thou, reading shld be above 13

knn air filter install liao need to do tuning?cos i told my friend i change knn and tire at hkl then he ask me got do tuning anot.....i did see the mechanic taking a sharp nose plyer and bend down on my left hand side of bike dun know adjust wat?he tuning my bike?Yah and regarding the hel steel braided hose.....hkl quote me $220 with install leh....so much higher than the component cost....saw vector 1 the price $195 still can choose colour....wats the add ah?

No need to do tuning when u change air filter... Only need it when u service carburator. Its very obvious when ur mechanic is doing tuning. He needs to "drip" ur bike with a bag of petrol & connecting various pts of ur engine to a meter (not sure wat that meter is called). Then start ur bike. Then meter will read with fluctuating bars. He will then need to poke a long screwdriver from top down near the carburator to tune by balancing all the fluctuating bars. Erm... hope u understand my description...

 

My mechanic told me every 50000km must service liao... Also changed valve pin in the carburator.

THink LAB no longer selling the $80 shield. I was quoted $170 and $220 for 2 different types of PUIG shields. Sorry, not sure what the model no. is. They also sell Givi shields but at a higher price becos they are not the distributor.

 

Does anyone know where offer the lowest price for Givi shields in Singapore other than 219 Motor? Thanks in advance.

I think this will be very useful as most ppl are complaining abt their rear suspension getting soft.

Suspension soft cannot get fixed by mechanic huh? Must change one huh? Anyone can enlighten?

 

Anyway, I think S4 suspension rather hard, as in I can 'feel' the ground, humps etc. more as compared to other bikes I have ridden. Am ridding a FW super 4 vtec 2 currently. Anyone share my views?

Heard from my bikeshop that there is a S4 suspension that looks like our showa suspension. It is used on Honda bikes in Japan and price is around 200 plus.

I also saw GPR stainless steel brake hose at Koons motor

check the price, at first he says its depend on length around 30 plus for one hose.

S4 front is I think need 3 and back is 1 short think add up also around 150 plus.

 

Not sure if changing hose need to change brake fluid anot or just top up

 

Anyone can advise on this

150? i rather pay 30 more at sporting motors to change to HEL brake line, at least HEL is a more recongised brand, nvr heard of GPR

At first I thought the boss say 30-40 plus change everything. I was like "Wah....damm cheap" HIGH sia cos I tot change cheap stainless steel hose also better than stock rubber hose mah. Then he say add up to 150 plus

 

But i just ask ask only. Need to go back and double confirm

hhhhhmmmmm, u r wrg bout the part tht changing cheap steel hose better than the stock. cause the stock one is tested to not to be damaged under high pressure, the cheapo one dnt know the nut will break or not also

K&T service is good

 

can say the boss is a perfectionist

the laz time i went carb service, he tested and retune and tested and retune until he is happy, then when i got on the bike, she is as smooth as new
