Using any in-built RAID controller is just not a good idea.. If it is done on a server than it is a very.. err.. let's say 'not very smart' idea...

With RAID0 you have reasonably fast read/write speed and total available disk space, but absolutely no redundancy. Losing a single disk in array will make all your data disappear in thin air before you know it. So you are right to put that 'foolish' remark there...

 

Swapping ports will break the array.. This again will make you lose your data. So, I would not recommend you start experimenting with it.

Back up your data, get rid of RAID0 (or any RAID configuration - you don't need in in your environment), reinstall and ghost your disks.. and live happily ever after..
