My frd asked me for help in installing a PWK28 carb into his NSRsp which he brought.

I know from the spec the original carb is a PE28, round slide type.

Can the PWK 28 be installed into his bike with stock pipe , without a need for extenstion of flanges on the intake and air box side?

Can the jets from the PWK28 be used as it is or should he get some other sized jets for better and smoother running?

Hope some bros can provide and insight.

Cheers.

if you get better jets your fc will go down ' more power = more gas used '

pwk 28 i never install myself but i have installed pwk 38 on my sp before. Stock pipe is not a problem, the problem lies at the air box.

The air box hole is too small for pwk 38 so i have to replace with K&N air filter.

i am unsure with pwk 28 size, maybe it will fit if it does not fit then you have to get a air filter.

And it is better then change your pipe after you install a pwk carb because your putting so much gas and it not coming out as fast.

i have used pwk28 before with airbox n stock pipe, no problems.

it fits into the standard intake manifold.

for the airbox i'm not sure, but if can't fix, u can just use a pod filter rubber connectors.

for jetting, u need to jet to suit, dun juz anyhow choose jets.. hehe..

i think i still have some main jets at home.

another concern is 2t, does ur pwk have a 2t intake? if not can drill a hole, for me i use premix.
