Here is me giving a 2nd life to a old leather chair and bike seat.

 

Salvaged some sponge and uphostry from a discarded office chair.

I had in mind the back of an old leather sofa but never come across one. That would have been a good source of material possibly even the cleanest as no butts would land there for sure!

 

Some packing material and air-con insulation and about 200 staples.

You will need the notice board gun staples makes your job way easy.

 

no sure how long this will last but when time comes i'll do it all over again in whatever colour material I may come across.

 

its fun and most importantly its green too!

i too think of this.save $$.been savaging leather from sofa throw out at neighbourhood. bought a staple gun for $8. haven try on bike seat hop it can be staple in.

if when bike shop to replace coat $30 or more.

might well diy first see if can a not.
