need help in buying bike procedure!

hi.if i want to buy a bike frm a shop,can i buy it without insurance?i jux nid e coe n road tax for e bike.becoz i am buying e bike for my younger bro n after i pass him e bike on his bdae,dan he go buy insurance.isit possible?n r there any more fees i hav to pay?thks for yr help.

u need insurance if you are taking a loan from bike shop(bike lost,shop find who?)

 

u need insurance for transfer of ownership(no insurance no transfer,unless laid up)

 

u need insurance to pay for roadtax

 

seen like you are buying for a new bike

 

just tell the bike shop collection date will be on when,and it will be collected that day!

 

if 2nd hand bike

pay a deposit to the shop and collect it on your brother birthday.

insurance can issue a cover note on the spot(collection date)

 

free parking,free security guard.if your brother change his mind of bike he like, still can change without losing much.

i suggest you read up on the forum more.. alot of "hei dian"

 

since u dont have a license u might not know that much of bikes condition ect,ect

 

might be a better idea to get one from the forum/let ur bro choose unless its a surprise

 

getting a bike from the forum - cheaper for the same thing/might be better too

 

not a good idea to rush into things, later alot of problems surface v jialat for ur brother also

is the bike you going to buy is super limited edition or just 1 in singapore or very cheap price?

 

care to tell us what model you going to buy?

 

are you taking any loan?

 

if yes,taking a loan

you can pay a "big" deposit to the shop and park the bike there until the day of collection.(usually not more than 1mth)

 

ask for thing to replace(EO,plug etc)

insurance can do on the spot.

 

if no,,not taking a loan

get from the forum,source around.

comfirm cheaper price than bike shop

yes,you can.do a laid up.

arrange a tow truck to pick up the bike and park @ your secret place

no riding of a laid up bike,its a very serious offence.

 

it seen like you dunno how to "see" a bike(engine condition/original/tyreetc)
