Wao... That is getting quite personal...

Erm... If the shocks are not adjustable then it's no longer a "All-Rounder" bike? The title, no? Besides, the FZ1 and some cls 2 streetbikes come with adjustable forks, why not the 600?

I must agree with you the longer wheelbase part but is probably a personal preference, it shouldn't be a negative argument. Also, BT020s are good touring tyres, seriously.

The 04 Fazer 600 is the worst class 2 bike i ever owned.

- poor 2-pot front brake calipers (taken from XJR400)

* You know of any calipers that are rich???- lousy non-adjustable front forks

- lousy pre-load adjustable rear shocks, non-compression & non-rebound adjustable.

*Then how come you never buy the RSV Miles, comes with fully adjustable Ohlans leh...

- lousy low band acceleration (some say Super 4 can pick up faster)

*Then I tell you that you confirm lose to my Suzuki Bandit leh... your eyes never see before hor...

- lousy handling (longer wheelbase) with longer swingarm over the 03 Fz6

*Change to chopper ones lor... I recommend Phantom lah...

- tailboard with pillion handrails are integrated fairing, i.e. if suay suay bike drop, have to change entire piece.

*Then you suay mah... whats there to complain?

- exteremely hot pillion seat when riding long distance to Msia/Thailand due to the underseat exhaust system. I tried to wrap it with those exhaust heat wrap, but it doesnt help much either.

* Dun bring pillion lor...

- signals/mirrors extracted from TDM.

* Wow... whose bike's signals/mirror got stolen???

- almost no underseat storage space. can't even put a rain coat.

* You want underseat space ah... remove your exhaust lah.. take up a lot of space leh...

- lousy BT020 stock tyres. the tyres that will kill you when u self skid over dry/wet roads.

* You skid mah... you dunno how to counter ah... lousy leh... go sign up for defensive riding lor.. they got teach you...

- non-DIY friendly. have to remove side pannels to lift up fuel tank. Fuel tank lifter is not given, unlike Suzuki bikes.

* Then why you never get a suzuki leh???

- Headlight is a huge disappointment on NSH at night, even with Philips Vision Plus 50% longer beam bulbs. It's the reflectors in the headlight that does not shine far. Also another c*** up design, having a H4 bulb on one side and H7 bulb on the other side of the headlight.

* Then you are the stupid one... Europe standards leh... If you cannot see at night, then travel in the day lah...

- TPS a common problem for most of the 04 and 05 models. It fails automatically w/o warning, and your bike cant idle + fuel consumption goes up + your bike dies off even while riding in gears. Its a major fault that Yamaha only recently recalls.

* Got problem, thats why recall mah... then now you also not happy...

In summary - the most disappointing class 2 bike i ever owned.

period.

* Then all I can say is that you stupid, never do your online research... go to google can find a lot of reviews also mah... you never do homework, then dun blame anyone leh...

This I totally disagree.

I had never lost to any S4 in pickup, mid range or top end in my 1 year ownership of the bike.

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

1)front brake does not take from XJR400 but XJ400, they are 2 different model. now the XJR400 is using the same 2 pot as the R1. I still can brake in time with orginal brake hose.

Uncle, you meant 4 pot ah...

I was merely implying that the intention of the original message was directed against the title of the thread. I just wanted to suggest that the BEST All-Rounder bike should at least have an adjustable front fork. That's all, chill. Also fine if it doesn't come with it, I didn't say the bike sucked. Neither did I say it did not qualify as an All-Rounder Bike. :)

I believe CKC merely wanted to point out his discomfort with the bike. Let's be objective and not be personal about it, I don't understand what's with the whole sensitivity of commotion. Signing out in peace.

hmmm....i think this guy is just trying to piss you guys off....dont get upset by such low life comments....dont forget we have many "friends" or "friend friends"here that are jealous and bitchy...but then i must say this just in case this guy really owns a FZ6...

why you so stupid to buy FZ6 if you think if so hopeless, quick ride your bike into the sea

We dont need drivers to moderate riders

we have to compare a bikes in the same class if not then we ain't doing it any justice. overall for the $$ u pay i don't c any reason for complaint. as for the tyre agree that the 020 isn't fantastic but it ain't too bad, especially that it only cost ~$300

just to share, if u r willing to dig just slightly deeper into ur pocket i will recomm another Yamaha, the TDM900. i rode 1 for 4yrs & i will say it is the best value for $$ all rounder i ever had. the only reason i changed to FJR is the power cut @220km/h :goodluck:

i agreed TDM is a good all rounder, i happen to swap bike with my bro. The same reason as you find the power cut tat kills the fun when my fazer6 over took the TDM  but TDM feel more upright when doing touring as compare to fazer6. But FJR 1300 is my dream bike which i hope to have when i turn 35. still have 6 more to go. :cheeky:

It's my dream too. 8 more years to 35

Guess which word had this meaning.

1. Any code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another, esp. an unwritten code of sexual behavior permitting men more freedom than women.

2. A set of principles permitting greater opportunity or liberty to one than to another, especially the granting of greater sexual freedom to men than to women.

3. A set of principles establishing different provisions for one group than another; also, specifically, allowing men more sexual freedom than women.
