K&N Air Filter.

Anyone using K&N air filter to replace it's airbox on SP? Think of changing but don't really know what's the advantage.

increased air flow into the carb.. better response.. but i think need some tuning coz after changing the rpm increase slightly...

Bike go faster in pickup..sound different..some like the sound some dun like... If u DIY,there is 2 pipe,1 from engine another,hmm i forget liao..which is oso connected to the original airbox..at first i dun know where to put so i buy another small filter and fit the both pipe in ...

More air flow doesn't mean 'pickup' will improve.. It will actually worsen in most cases.. Why do u think karters use their hands to cover the air intake after exiting from slow corners?

Just a side note,

 

Just getting a HI-FLOW airfilter eagerly wont make your bike go faster blah blah.

You need to even out and tune Air Fuel Ratio too.

 

And this is just ONE of the many aspects to consider.

 

 

Changing Air intake without tuning AFR may lead your bike to run lean or rich.

 

But once you start to 'mod', thats when you need more $$$ and time to fix other furthur problems which will rise. Wanna stay trouble free, just stay stock.
