Ok heres my dilemma. I'm about to migrate to malaysia on the 25th and i'm going to bring my bike along. Thing is my bike is still under installment, fair enough, i'm going to keep paying from there. From my point of view i have 2 solutions, and please correct me if i'm wrong or is that undoable :).

BTW i'll probably never bring my bike back or maybe once in a few months comeback ride in for a few hours then go back in malaysia.

Solution A:

Ride in with my bike then get someone in singapore help me put my bike on layup as to avoid road tax and insurance. In future deregister singapore plate and register N plate.

Solution B:

Report bike lost and chow through custom with different num plate LMAO. Go malaysia like all those stolen bike and slap a plate on.

Please do share more solutions with me as i'm going to be moving very very soon. Thanks for sharing :thumb:

if im not wrong, if you do get caught doing solution B, you probably go to jail :

and i don't think thats worth it.

not to mention you play out the shop/previous owner.

For layup, your bike needs to be at the specified layup location when LTA officers do spot check.

Report bike lost + you migrating... ppl just need to put 1 + 1 to start suspecting something amiss...

If you still intend to step into Sg, be aware that either "solution" might get you detained at customs. Why not just the straight forward solutions?

- sell it (n settle all outstanding, etc)?

- COI to someone very very trust worthy

Yeah i was thinking of doing the 1st solution which is the more safer way la. And i didn't know layup bike will kena spot check. Wa den dis is going to be really difficult man. If i go there work i won't have any transport and buying a bike there is damn expensive unless its a kapcai. Which honestly would crumble under my weight.

I'm the 1st owner of the bike and i still got 3 years to go to pay for it :(

is your bike a super4? If it is and you are moving to johor, just sell it off and buy something less in demand. You ride that s4 in johor, and i guarantee you it will go missing within the month. non kupcai rides are very valuable in malaysia~

Have you consider exporting it to Malaysia? That will eliminate any 'unwanted forces' in the future with Singapore or Malaysia.

This option I guess will cost a lot of time and money but peace of mind.

Not possible because :

- the bike is not fully paid

- TS wants to ride the bike back to Singapore periodically.

Given his constraint and usage requirement, TS has no choice but to maintain status quo of the bike.

I guess the only solution after reading all your advice and discussing with my dad, is i maintain the bike continue paying installment, road tax and insurance while i'm there. Gonna be a heavy load coz everything is going to be DOUBLED.

And not to worry i'm staying with my uncle and not in Johor, I actually found out the price of S4 and its shocking thats why they love to steal it, i'll be moving to Seremban Negeri sembilan. And its a "higher up" neighbourhood.

Bike will be used by me everyday travelling to and fro from my restaurant so it will always be parked infront of my eyes and will be padlocked with my alarm on even at home coz i'll be sleeping in the room on the ground floor of my uncles house so i'll be very close to my baby :)

Since you are kinda 'travelling'.

Do consider doing up a travel insurance and a international driving permit.

And since the bike is that popular. Do consider investing in a kup kia/malaysian car for riding to and fro work.
