I have a problem . right now i have a bike laid up .. and my test is this thursday . After i pass. (hopefully !!!!) can i actually have my bike send for inspection first and get road tax BEFORE i get my insurance.. OR i need to get insurance first before i can send for inspection and road tax...

cos from what i know .. we have to wait for quite a long period for the results and etc etc ..

Of course you can do that, but what if you fail ?

Don't be impatient, since you have already waited all this time, what's a few more days.

The inspection process itself is less than 15mins, then another 10 mins or so for the certificate.

Once you have obtained your licence, get your insurance done up. You can get it on the spot. Get your bike inspected, how you bring your bike there is up to you. Either get tow truck or push the bike yourself.

When the bike has passed the inspection, with your insurance, you can pay your road tax at the Inspection Centre afterwhich you can legally ride the bike home.
