a normal wrench will undo the drain screw, pic below. size 21 i think. in mm. i have got one whole set of wrenches, i suggest you get a set instead of buying them separately. mustafa have some cheap and good ones.

dun change oil after a ride. it's hot~!

in the west, only HKL sells motul 600 and transoil. all other shops in the west sells motul 4T products. if you dun like HKL, get from motoworld. much more expensive. list price for motul 600 goes for $22.

i suggest you still get your motul 600 from HKL cos it's standard price at $18.

i'm out of the outing too. hard for me to make time for anything else besides work and my missus. :sorry:

hey guys, just ran into some bad luck today. My bike was dropped by someone in the afternoon, just came back from buying something when i saw the bike on its side. No major damage done, except my front brake lever is now in 3 parts, and my seat has problem staying secure. Are there any other places to get replacements for it other than Minerva? I stay in woodlands and it's quite a long way to ride with no front brakes, yah? thanks alot!

Actually its the brake lever, not the brake itself, luckily. Don't think I can ifx it back, wouldn't want to anyway. Must I use back cagiva parts, or can any generic lever do the job?

should be 800ml only. is your bike still leaking any black liquid from anywhere besides the header? when you park overnight, any oil stains on the ground?

is the brake lever broken into 3 parts? is there anyway you can still apply front brakes?

if you still can use the front brake, ride very slowly to minvera, Excel or 1st motor. the bike does not use any generic lever if i rem correctly.

if you can't use your brakes at all, better to tow. safety 1st.

changing lever is not hard to do, but i guess you would rather the bike shop do for you than do it yourself. :goodluck:

Went down to minerva yesterday to get a new lever. Cost $42 in total including GST. Sigh, all because some bugger knock over the bike... Luckily no major damage, just scratches on the pipe and my handle bar a little twisted. BTW, where exactly is the west coast mac? Interested in going, but not sure where...

Review of K&N Filter Mod.

After 5 days with the filter mod, here's the feedback:

1) Torque has been moved to the upper end of the rev range. Moving off requires more throttle now, but top end rush is way stronger. Mid-range feels a bit better too.

My feel: I hate it. As a commuter, i prefer more torque at low revs so that i can filter without sounding like a C130 coming through.

2) Noise is louder. Way way louder.

My feel: I already dislike the stock Planet's harsh sound. This mod makes my ears hurt.

3) Fuel efficiency is crap. I lost 3km/L after installing the mod.

My feel: More costs = BAD.

Conclusion:

If you ride the bike on weekends for fun and the odd bit of hooliganism, this is a great mod for you. Loud, screaming pipe and induction sound and an awesome top end rush when the revs build up.

If you're a commuter, this mod makes little sense. I'm gonna switch it back to the normal airbox and try to improvise a filter. The filter is up for sale once I switch back to stock.

Cheers.

yo sera, xiao boon did advise against it unless it's a track mod. :sorry:

anyway, jus to let interested parties out there know, the filter will fit on a mito too.
