any idea how to add an on/off switch for my neons?

i can't seem to find a decent switch too...

Jon, does your blue lights have a on/off switch?

nope bro... but i used a 2pin connector & a pair of croc clips on my tail lights for the belly pole lights. if i wan to turn off i can juz either disconnect the connector or the croc clips...

bro got a really cool gadget at sim lim tower! saw a set of remote controlled relayswitches! available from 1 to 4 channels and the remote is keychained too. got xtra sets of remotes on sale too :cheer: if u get the 4 channels ar, u can change the colours of the 4neons at ur command too...:lovestruck: think costs from $30+ for single channel & up...

But how did you know whether or not your LEDs were of the right voltage?

cos mine did not come in a box... i got them from my friend's desktop... the type used in a transparent desktop... (the ah beng with tribal dragon type) haha....

i connected with wires and the bulb lights up... but what i'm afraid of is that the bulb will blow once i start running the bike to higher revs and the battery starts to charge...

BTW i'm interested in fixing a bicycle speedo after the festive season... hope you'll be willing to give a few tips...

wads the voltage inside the pc?

if 12volts then can connect directly to the bike's electricals. if less than u need to calculate the resistor needed for the voltage drop diff & the power handling of the resistor too. they wun blow so easily... unless ur bike's rectifier's damaged

for bicycle speedo i strongly recommend cateye velo. lowest end in the family @$30+ & oni one can take up to 300km/h! sigma ones display contrast sucks & speed update slower. and u need to buy one neodymium magnet from ktkt to have more consistant & reliable readings($2 per pc)... btw, my bike's speedo broke down completely liao. the needle oni moves a tiny bit above 100km/h :giddy: so now totally depend on the cycle speedo.

juz drop me a pm when ur ready to install... i'll gladly assist u... if u loved diy soldering stuff, maybe i'll guide u how to rebuilt the sigma bicycle speedo light to have it run on ur bike's electricals using 3watt leds heheh...:thumb:

yo bro ur the one whom called me juz now?:cheeky:

the roadwin looks almost identical to comet rite? same framework... none the less it looked gd for a 2b bike heheh!

well i go for planet koz-

*the fuel tank's design is very chio and unique and big(12.5liters nia), got a huge compartment under the fuel tank enough for 2 raincoat sets & more, and the chromed tank plate(bling bling factor!).

*the marzzochi inverted fork makes the bike looks even bigger from the front, almost like a monster(verses the telescoping fork)

*the backside area is very unique, almost similiar to a monster too at a glance, and it's really comfy & big, almost like sitting on a sofa!

*it's a 2stroker, offers more performance but at the price of having top up 2t ard every 1000km and currently fuel consumption of 15km/liter if going ez on the throttle. goes down to 12+km/liter if pillion passenger or twa occasionally.

*most of the 2strokers power was gotten from the exhaust system. stock bikes are restricted in the header. simply by de-restricting the header, u'll get back most of the bike's original power!

so in a nut's case, if ur looking at speed & power, 2strokers are for u man. think most 125cc or 150cc bikes can get u ard 150-160km/h(on a accurate speedo!). and it wasn't juz about the top speed... the sheer sudden increase in acceleration rush when exhaust valve opens makes riders itchy for more heheh...

but 4 strokers aren't dat bad... they're ez on the fuel consumption, accelerates smoothly, and not so temperate on the weather too... and not forgetting 2strokers components do get worn out alot faster than 4strokers and the bike's vibration kills ur wrist! :giddy:

thanks bro for the information about PLANET...I am very happy to talk with u on the phone cos u seems to be a friendly person to what I think.Like what i say just now each individual got a diff taste am i rite bro? Some ppl like 2 stroke and some ppl prefer 4 stroke...For yr information, rw is my 2nd bike.Last time i did ride RXZ made in JAPAN for more than 10yrs...I still remember i had bought it around 4.7k that time { second hand bike } at BUKIT MERAH LANE.So far it can be considered powerful bike also below SP and KRR cos i ever ride 140km/h at the expressway and furthermore i can go further { all in stock }.If mod i think can follow behind SP or KRR am i rite bro. That bike i just sold last yr june 2005 to one of my old malay friend and currently i have been riding RW for about 6 mths already and so far it haven't create any problem yet...see after 1 yr how...

I wanna take this opportunity here to seek help from u in case u got any friends who wanna buy MFIZZ { design } new helmet....If have pls email to me at [email protected] ok...Pls do not pm here cos i do not have any PC at home.

I hope u understand. Thanks a lot to be friend with me...

Nice to see u again....I hope one day i can arrange to meet u or maybe i can have a test drive on yr PLANET itself... heheeeee

haha no prob bro... ride safe & cheers! i choose italian bikes because of the passion & style of it not speed... though it still irritates me like hell dat my bike stuck @135km/h nia haha...

That's why bro!!! Like me before i buy any bikes, first thing i ask is about the engine than follow by top speed.I concern more on design also...bike no power but design alrite, for me i take it....Better still if the design ok plus the power ok...

hmmmmm then that's more powerful bro am i rite...

thanks

dats the problem bro... other planets simply juz by derestricting the header, everything stock can hit 160km/h liao, clocked on a r1 somemore... i've changed to tm32 carb, legal arrow, and did full engine servicing, max still hit 135km/h though i feel the bike still can chiong some more! as if there's some kind of restriction dat came out when reached a certain rpm!

even though now my bike's can accelerate & touch 100km/h easily with minimum throttle liao after the carb change & servicing...

and 135km/h is wads clocked max on my digital speedo. last time when my stock analog planet speedo was working, the needle touched 170km/h when the actual speed on the digital was at 130km/h nia... :giddy:

so sad man... spent quite abit of cash liao yet still dunno wads wrong with my bike. though already verified my carb jettings, exhaust system, exhaust valve, piston(compression ok & no early signs of seizure) are in gd condition. damned! wads wrong with my bike?? :faint:

How bout your gearing? Are you at redline yet?

Try dropping one gear and see how far you can go.

Posted

stock sprocket rear is 43t. impossible to drop gear when reving up koz if i do so, the rpm stuck instantly with no acceleration. and planet got no tachnometer

the sound dat came out when the rpm's stuck feels like not enough fuel... but i used to have 190+ main jet & the carb overflow wit fuel everytime i rev high. gone down to 155 with better acceleration & no more overflow but same top speed & max rpm(from the sounds of the engine's rpm) as the previous jet. a friend commented the sounds was as if the engine is over-reved. but there was a sudden lost of velocity when the rpm's stuck, as if there's restriction somewhere. :help:

Well, check your spark plugs. Sounds like you're getting too much fuel.

bro ur arrow pipe.. not legal right? haha. that time i put.. kena tp.. i told him i juz accident pipe spoil, bike shop still fixing.. explain for like 10min. dam scary sia. stuck back to my stock pipe, pick up feels better though. but i dunno abt top speed.. last time i only hit 155 on digital speedo. thats after servicing, cleaning the valve and all that sh*t. our bikes dont go that fast though.. after all only 125cc, 6gear, holding 13l of fuel. how to tong?

Posted

the arrow i'm using is rd legal bro. got lta papers to ward off teepees away from me haha....

if i can reach 150km/h i damn happy liao. haiz. then was my bike cant rev high enough. now is my entire ignition set short circuit inside. wad can be worst? z
