I just bought a new battery for my 400 monster, but the shop didn't have any acid for it. Where can I get acid to fill the battery before installation?

Thx

David

hey...shop that sells battery that doesnt work?? no acid??..what shop is taht..

check out the lab/scientific supply shop then...might as well bring battery ant top up immediately..no point carrying acid all over the place..how much to add?...i dont know..

where is the shop?? ask red nano..

next you will need... where to charge it up???

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

go LAB and buy. range from $38 to $58.

but kinda surprising cos when i bought a new one to replace, there's a container with acid in it which comes with the battery as a package. the container should have 4 holes sealed with some sort of foil. then you're supposed to press the container's 4 foiled-holes onto the battery's....... ummmmm....... ports?

a bit hard to explain. go to LAB and buy and ask the guys there how to do it. once the acid fills up in the battery, need to wait approx 1 hr for some chemical reaction to take place before installing it in the bike. during this 1 hr, the battery will feel warm.

Yeah, i think a lab may be the best place. Last time I bough a battery it came with the little plastic pack that had acid in like you describe.

I think the bottom line is, is is just too difficult for the bike shop - no easy, no do......

After letting the acid settle, please charge up the battery before installing. If not the battery might not last.

yes, you are right it shoud. I think perhaps I shoudl tak eit back and ask them either to sort out the acid, or to give me my money back. Will be entertaining when they refuse!

U r certain that what u have is not a "dry-cell" acid-gel type batt?
