Car Inspection & Road tax question

Hi bro/sis sorry asking a very noob qn here:

 

My car coming to 3 yr old, alrdy done inspection (passed). Now i thinking abt renewing 1 yr or half yr road tax. (for my bike always renew 1 yr)

 

Qn: if only renew half yr road tax until June 2010, when coming to expiry again need to do inspection again before renewing again? (inspection cost $60+ so if 1 yr do 2 times= waste $...)

Don't worry, your next inspection is on the 5th year.
