encounter this along bukit batok road where there's a mandatory stop for bus exiting.

about 2 bus length, i saw this bus in bay moved a bit, thus i anticipate that he's coming out. as per rule, i have to do a full stop. btw the bus never signal. behind me there's a car, seeing me brake, he tap his horn. i saw my mirror n he's getting closer n like going bang into me. i'm thinking, i could be done for, but i think he check the right lane and there's no vehicle, thus the cut me and speed off. lucky the lane is wide n right side there's no oncoming vehicle, otherwise i could be in an accident now.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

i lived near that area. i always ride on 2nd lane to avoid guessing the bus driver's intention. cos if we give way, we may kana bang by the vehicle behind, if we don't, we might bang by the bus plus 130 fine..

Hmmmmmmm i tot first lane is bus-lane? try not to use that lane lor. And that is the reason why ppl say lane splitting is safer.

But you dun need to come to a full jam brake stop for the bus, just slow down.

But some times you knw la the car behind might be thinking of something, using hp, reading magazine, getting his cork sucked, smsing, so he might not react in time to siam you.

Thus hmmm unless you are going to turn left soon if not dun stay in that lane. But usually i will just ride pass the bus unless im turning left soon.

3rd option out is do a stoppie and your rear wheel go up the bonnet of the car and then release brakes and u will roll over the car to safety!

I agree with this....so given that there are only 2 options....stop or dun stop...I will take the stop option...after all...the car bang ur backside...he pays...U bang the bus...U pay...both assuming U survive lar...:sian:

What are the odds of having two punctures, on the same tyre, on separate occasions, in a 223km ride?:dozed:

put it this way, u are supposed to give way to buses.. ride on 2nd lane to avoid such situation?

if i'm not wrong abt the area...

the road only has 2 lanes, first lane ( which is the outermost right lane), n the 2nd lane ( with the mandatory bus stop giving way lane)...

so should be riding on first lane to avoid the situations.

anyway, that place is always jammed on evening timings so TS shld juz slow down...

let that car pass u..

if the driver tinks he's a hero, let him be..

we are only small fries on the road.

btw, u muz slow down when nearing the give way area, but if the bus nv move, u can accelerate off..

If u are slowing down n the bus moves out, den u LL have to stop.

If the bus moved only when are in the area n the bus didnt signal, u are not in the wrong, if they send a letter to u, pls go appeal n say that the bus is driving without signalling.. hee

give way to buses...dun b selfish.if vehicles behind u jam brake n honk at u repeatedly, get dwn from ur bike/car n approach the driver/rider n ask him: y did u follow so closely behind me?did u noe its not an offence to give way to buses?if he argues, give him wat he deserves: the MIDDLE FINGER n 1 HELLUVA EXPLETIVE-LADEN MONOLOGUE

yes, it's a 2 lane road, right side sometimes got q for turn right at junction, so to travel smoothly, i always use the left lane.

iirc, theres a double white line just b4 the mandatory stop, so if i change lane, i might kena the line. stop also die, dont stop also die, change lane also die, lol :dot:

btw, u muz slow down when nearing the give way area, but if the bus nv move, u can accelerate off..

btw the mandatory stop is to make a complete stop for bus to exit. u'll be summon even if u slow down n bus dont exit. it's not a give way anymore, it's mandatory stop
