hmm....depend on tp/police who stopped u. they can check ur license, bike and insurance validity thru their computers if u can prove ur identification. The question is how tough they will be on u for not carrying it, although i think if u can give valid excuse it should be ok. I'm sure there's a lot of such cases before, but confirm u won't kena revoke.......

shouldnt be a problem as long as u can show them yr 11b.

they can do their checks back-end to ensure u r vehicle owner, has valid rd tax, has valid 2b licence, etc. they just need to do more work. thats all.

but suggest u try to talk to the officer nicely if u suay suay were to be stopped.

there was once when i was pulled over by TP officer for routine check. dint have my insurance cert with me. he mentioned it is possible for him to to issue me with a letter that requires me to bring the insurance cert to nearest police post for verification within 24hrs.

good thing is he let me off after i told him it's ok for him to go ahead & issue the letter to me. cause i live opposite a police post.

Actually Insurance is way more important. Must carry aroung. Worst case scenario, TP will issue a paper to say visit any NPC to show that you do have your license. Most of the time, I think the computer record is accurate.

To be on the safe side, just carry along. Less hastle if kena stop.

They are able to check thru the system via your no plate. That was what I was told when I lost my wallet.

Where did you get this information? I think will be beneficial for others to know also.

I tried googling and no success. Do tell. Coz I know it is not mandantory to bring NRIC around.

Insurance is necessary. I know that if you dun have license, any photo card to identify you they may accept. How come your info is the other way around one? hehehe.

agree with u regarding NRIC is not mandatory, but u must have a valid and "recognized" photo card id with u for identification, which in singapore is limited. As i was told only singapore driving license, passport or NRIC is acceptable, not any country club or private membership card. what mandatory is an official id, doesn't matter which.

personally, for almost 9 years i've only been carrying only my license ...only $50 replacement fee if lost or damage compared to $150(first timer) for nric....:cheeky:
