sorry for creating a new thread but the Aprilia Thread seems to be abit dead.

 

I just passed my TP last month (FINALLY) and 2 scooters have caught my eye.

 

Anyone seen the new Scarabeo 200 or Sportscity 125 on display at MAH?

 

I wonder how much are they, the salesman seemed busy and I didn't want to bother them.

I believe that the Scarabeo 200 is using the same engine as the gilera and the sportscity is using the same engine as the Fly125.

derbi very fierce la, i like the subtle look of the aprilia sportscity. a little bit more elegant even though it's just a continental version of a wave hahaha.

 

as for the scarabeo, i am a little attracted by the fact it is a gilera 200 engine

 

will be going down mah tomorrow to check them out.

i suggest u think twice before buying any bike that made from Italy cos the spare parts then kills lah bro....need to come out a lot of $$$ especially when occurs big problem on the bike/scooter....

spoke to gab from mah today, it seems he had registered one scarabeo and rode it himself.

 

honest reviews was that the seat is a little bit to the hard side, bike temp is always at half, no punch in the acceleration and that the underseat compartment can only fit a half cap.

 

good points are that the bike is suprisingly stable, smooth and has a gradual acceleration. can cruise at any range and that the top speed is 125. handlebars doesn't wobble even at 125.

 

are all scooters like this?

 

compared to the old rotax scarabeo which was well known for a hundred and one problems like overheating, this one seems promising.

 

it seems like i might commit to one really soon hahaha!
