Hello, I wonder if it's a common problem among bikes. I got a 04 YBR125. After filling petrol to as high to the filling hole, my fuel needle went to beyond "F"(full), which is normal for a full tank.

But it never went down since, I thought was air lock and open the tank filler cap, but it never work. It may drop to "F" at times, but most of time, it's at beyond "F" full tank position.

So it's either my bike is a miracle petrol making machine, or the fuel indicator is defective, is it a simple defect, or do I have to disassemble any parts to un-stuck anything?

I had done a search here and google for this, none give any good results, if there's already a post, do direct me to it, and I will ask mod to shut this thread.

Thanks in advance!

float sensor in the tank is either defective, sticky tat stuck at one position or fuel meter is defective.

u may want to check the the sensor first or replace meter.

yup.. I suspect the float sensor as well. It was working fine till that one time I filled till a super high level. Will try to scan manual online to look for it..
