My bike overhauled 6 months ago now the shop told me the cam shaft is bad again. The overhaul is suppose to replace the timming chain. They did not get me a new shaft cos stock not avilable and they instead put in a 2nd hand. I think my original is better than the 2nd hand cos the engine noise is different now.

One thing I notice is the mechanic did a good job, no oil leak after overhaul, the engine do get quieter. I follow the guide line keep speed below 80Km/h for a month.

Can any expert here tell me where is the cam shaft from the picture of a CB250? Sorry for the poor picture taken from cellphone.:)

I see a couple of pistons, timing chain, timing chain guides, gaskets, o-rings, bearings, speedo cable, spark pulg, crank. No cam shaft.

No cam shaft :? They use back my old cam shaft? Funny, why they change those items but not the cam shaft? Are those items ready belong to the CB250?

Estimate more than 150,000km.

There is no cam shaft in your photograph. There is a crank shaft with two connecting rods. You CB250 is a parallel twin cylinder engine.

The cam shaft is located on the top portion of the engine above the valves. your photograph shows parts from the lower portion of the engine.
