guys, i got a issue... using internet explorer. tried to download limewire... then now... once i started to surf the net... another tab keeps poping... showing the bing.com search net... how do i get rid of it....

IMO, it's pretty tough to figure out unless I'm at your computer bro.

 

Lemme take a stab at this issue: did this happen after you got and installed Limewire? Or has the behaviour been there all along?

 

 

 

P.S.: Bing is Microsoft's Live Search (like how Google has its search engine)

 

P.P.S.: A screen-shot of that behaviour would help.

I think that happens once you update Internet Explorer to 7 or 8.

Hi bro.

 

It might be because, during your installation of limewire or upgrading of IE, you had opted to install a program that will open Bing.com everytime you open the internet or your PC had been infected with Adware.

 

Try uninstalling any programs found to be related with Bing.com through the Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel and see if it works. Or you can try running some adware scanners on your pc.

By default, when you upgrade to IE8, the Bing tab will always open with your main tab.
