Another question again:

Rainy weather seems to be coming back again, and water always seep into my box and made all the precious inside wet. Any method to repell the water away, other than packing all the stuffs in the box in ziplock bags??

Hi.I think beside having to change a new box whioch will obviouslty solve the problem..what you can do is try to identify the area which cause gaps or anythng to allow water to go in and try to rectify it.protecting it in a ziploc bacg is just a temporary measure.

Niti,

as cbkooky quoted... the leak could be sipping in from the key hole I suspect, add a touch of grease onto it, hope it'll prevent it.

try not to over pack ur saddle box, properly close it with due care.

good luck.

HI momo...

Shaky as in the whole panniers or just the cover itself??

If its the whole box..you can check the round rubber part that is attached to the pannier at the side of the pannier facing the rear wheel. There shld be a round rubber to fill in the gap btwn ur pannier and your rear no plate holder.I thnk it acts as a cushion of some sort.If you drop that part, most likely ur bike panniers would be shaky.Other than that..make sure u had the panniers secured and align on the pannier rack and lock it.

momo,

Last time asked about the rubber, all the shops no stock. Don't think about BOON SIEW too. Asked, say have to ship in the thing, will roughly take about 2 months. That was sometime back. You can try your luck this time round.

Had no choice but to get another type of rubber stopper to stuff it between the box and rear mudguard of the bike. Also, the modified rubber stopper definitely cheaper than the original rubber stopper.

momo,

Try Bikeworkz at Dunlop Street. The windshield they have is a one piece windshield. Also, the height of the windshield is higher to better deflect the wind away. If not wrong the last time I ask they say it cost around $180/$185. Definetely not more than $200.

Thomas

hi bro Thomas, do u have the actual add for bikeworkz?

cos today went to find but onli can c biketech21...

maybe u can tell if its located @ the starting, centre or ending part of dunlop st?

Thanks...

Hi,

I think Bikeworkz is at Shun Li Industrial at Kaki Bukit. Its not at Dunlop Street.

Hope this helps

momo,

Sorry, it is biketech21. Bikeworkz is in Shun Li Industrial park. Always mix up the two.
