amen23,

how should we arm it with fuse..? wonder if wil it decrease the battery's working life...

but then, it's a useful terminal if we installed it safely & properly.

From wat I know from the web and workshop they said need to change to a higher Ampere like 13A... but we can try 5A the most the fuse blow....the best is check how many Ampere the product we going to use going to draw.....if not can use multimeter to check.... Hope all above is correct as I'm not a electricity train.

Don think it is a good idea to have some electrical thing which is capable of sparking near our fuel tank isn't it. Explsion is the last thing we want to our machines Rite? 5 amps fuse is good but it can be better if we have a 5 amps circuit breaker don need to hassle to find replacement fuses again.:cheer:

sorry people. jus read the past thread and found out US model is in miles. saw 1 FN plate for 80,000++miles. cause see no logo of PE. one thing, cause got a FT plate beside so try listening to both engines. noticed US engine louder/rougher than PE. Not the first time comparing the both engines. notice the volume at looi's also. got slight ticking sound.

Saw a FP at a carpark with PE???? so after 1996 then all PE???

any advice or opinoin???

well for budget wise, not very high cause i am still serving the country. saw 3 at new southern not old one. 2 PE and one US. for color and budget, the US model suits me. but miledge a little high. i do not know whther it is of too much concern. anyway would want to settle this coming week.

one thing southern has given a better price for every thing tat other bikes shop cant match. well if the week starts n anyone willing to help, jus call me at 96385714 or pm me ur number n i call back. thanks.

one more thing also saw afew st at looi's. there are also 2 PE and one US. US sounds like fallin apart.(engine sound) n mileage is abt 120000 miles i think. PE quite newer.

Thx 4 e warm welcome!! we can share knowledge and improve ourslvs. CB open the faulty circuit in case of excessive current instead of fuses tat blow and need to be replaced Adv of circuit breakers(CB) to fuses : it can act as a switch ; could be easily reset {a great deal to our touring trips} :cheer: CB too have ratings, installation wise it is exactly the same as fuses. Both devices come in betweeen the positive terminal and the lighter socket. Cheers

cbkooky has got the concept rite!! :thumb: We should route the breaker as near to the battery as possible so as to eliminate any chances of a fault b4 the CB. I would recommend fitting it under the seat for easy access.

Method

Link battery +ve to any point of CB then other point of CB to lighter socket +ve then from lighter socket -ve back to the battery -ve And tats it!!!
