Hidden_Agenda,

Hope someone can provide review on Z6 so, we may have another option in choosing tires. amen23, care to lead? :cheer:

Strongly agreed with Cool79,... with one suspension at the rear, i really doubt ST is good for cornering.

Yo Reds, Don't really will try Z6 as the price is too high... saw the posting in classified which cost $490 a pair which dun hv review of it on our beast. So far I think only gopa fix it on his beast to test out the tyre. But hv not have overall feedback yet.... I might try it if the price drop to my pocket comfort zone to buy and test it.

May be they wanna sponsor someone who ride everyday, high speed, cornering, test braking/cornering in the rain. This will benfit to all ST rider and to them.

Cornering with ST it all depends on the rider how familiar/comfort/limit with his beast and himself. there a different feeling when cornering left and right due to only 1 suspension on 1 side.

Dragon is good on dry ground but not on wet. I guess road tires are not designed for wet ground. i do not think gopa has anymore dragon, he'll probably recommend Z4.

i did take my beast to corner during my virgon ride with ST11

for those who had seem my post abt 1 yr ago

i was complaining the power of the beast... the power isnt the same as my R6 i used to ride.... the power is more of a S4... n i did take the beast to corner... so far so gd with the cornering with dragon... i tried to use up the side of the tire but failed... left abt 0.5cm more to clear... and for the speed.. i went up to 200-220... n i was scared liao... (veri surpised... i hit 260 on my R6 n there wasnt any fear...) i did play with a RVF400... n lose in pick up... sad

after i change to Z4... i become more gd boy liao.... cornering is veri hard... grip not there as compared to dragon...

now i got used to the beast liao... seldom corner n speed with ST11... gd point is... can put helmet in the box... :)

petrol wise is abt the same as my R6... 16km/l... my r6 did hit 18km/l b4... but for ST the tank is bigger n u can travel long... good to go touring with cruise of sport touring bike... don b like me... go out with sports bike.... veri tiring... chiong 180-200 all the time to chase my friends... n ended up... i become veri tired while my friends still okie... mayb its just me

Hi fellow ST riders,

Anyone has an original or extra cushioned ST11 seat and wanted to exchange for a cutted (lowered) ST11 seat? My seat is still in nice and well taken care condition. I found my seat is a bit low and my legs is too long. laugh.gif

Please PM me if you wanted to exchange. Thanks!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

i 2nd abt the cornering

if u r gd tires

u can corner also.... i did corner till it gana my foot peg b4... but don push over ur own limit...

if a GP racer take ST for a track round.. i think he can let his knee kiss the road also... it's all abt the rider n the tire....

i will not corner if i am on Z4... :p

ST BOB,

I never did any adjustment until I after a trip where I got it fully loaded(pilllion, barang2 & top box). I did the adjustment according to Honda owners' manual provided in the bike.

the 1st time I experienced sagging effect when I manoveured thru wide bend, rebounding was slow & compression was too soft for comfort, rear was flocking out whenever there r slightly lower level road surface.

I adjusted it again months after when I suffered the same sagging again, this time round I think my rear suspension will soon CMI. :sian:

i did see that post... i tot u sold off your ST... i've been riding mine for 2 1/2 mths now, still not used to the power...

the overtaking on the ST not what i expect, even though its supposed to have alot of torque... probably bcos the bike is heavy, plus my 100+ kg... 2 heavy weights cannot make it... ahah...

finally decided to give it up... what i'll probably miss the most is the comfort, the wind protection, the super storage, the giant 28L tank...

:thumb: .. the ST not meant to ride like sports... riding style gotta change... brake earlier, squeeze traffic more careful, gotta lower gear more often ... etc... but suprisingly turning radius still quite good...

thanks simon for the quick reply.. what do u mean by urs auto cut off @ 120? u mean u purposely set ur max speed to be 120?

Posted

Simon.S max speed at 120 is what i call "human powercut".

As for squeeze traffic, so long as the two small "elephant ear" (covering the mirrors) able to pass thru, don't have to worry about the side pannier boxes..

unless u do a sharp turning.

I did adjust the suspension according to my riding style and habit if hv pillon will adjust it again. Too bad our front fork can't play around with it, so tell the workshop wat I want and they adjust (heavy/light duty fork oil and more or less fork oil use) it.

U can use lower grade fork oil 10--15 or buy the ajustable fork spring cap.It very important to check front n rear suspension seen our bike r so heavy.I take it serious about suspension on my bike n I try no to go on down the kerp.Take care of it n u will have smooth ride all year round .:goodluck:

hi chinu,

too many factors.. condition, accessories, no. plate, how much you like it, etc..

you might want to PM someone with the details, then can better help you..

Get a well-maintained bike and cost, should be secondary...
