Hi Darwin,

Long time never see u liao... how r u....

Anyway for me i usually do/check thing that no need $$$ or spend little $$$ b4 go into big $$$ repair...

u can try the fellowing step.....

1. check ur fuel cork is there any leak if yes get it change might be the cause of ur problem,

2. if fuel ok, change ur spark plug those normal one will do and after change liao then ok but after sometime the problem came back take out spark plug and take notice any of the plug turn dark black and wet so high chances that u need to change ur float needles as wat thomas said,

3. if spark plug ok, check ur clutch. if clutch in and slowly lose of pressure then it time for u to change ur clutch master pump, check the level of fluid and and sign to leakage at the clutch slave pump.

As for the thermostat, think is the fan switch which will on earlier which is good when u are caught in the traffic jam or heavy traffic. FC will not that much as it does not consume lots of power

Hope this help u and other guys might have the same problem.

Hi amen thanks for the advise, maybe will go down to gopa this week to do the necessary.:cheer:

Hi to all Beast Master out there.... Gd Morning....

Well as the story goes... i went back to the bike shop to claim damage from the previous incident happened to my fuel pump( BTW,The beast is still under warranty for a month ) .... Try to claim the amount spend on towin and workmanship from them in KL... They replied im not able to do so... coz warranty extended in S'pore ONLY!!!!!( Which i expected so!!!) So i start to argue with them... Finally they agreeded to change my brake pads!!! I ask them to change the fuel pump since signs of wear n tear... But they diagnos n found that the pump is working(i was there when they took out the pump..) I argued again offcourse its working just serviced in KL... They r not convince ... BTW they say if it happen again they would change it.... Thats how the story ends..

Now the questions i need to clarify with all the experts here...

:help:

1) Sould I worried about the Fuel Pump?

2) Should change it? How much the cost of a new Pump if there's a need to change

3)How much fuel flow does it usually pump from pump to carb( weak or stong pressure?)

4) Is it normal travelling in high speed to drop gear by itself when encounter a hump or uneven road surface?

5) I hear squeeking sound (no very loud) when i depress my front brake?

Thats all my bros... Have a nice day Hope to hear ur replies thks

Good Day Mates!!!!

1) if current u are not travelling long distance or oversea then still ok(just an advice try not to pump petrol when near empty) don't ask me why

2) Can't really remember think it cost $300 plus (rare case that fuel pump down)

3) It will have a smooth flow, not sure abt the pressure, try to compare with other ST

4) That should not be happening

5) Usually cause by brake dust... quite normal

Like Amen say, it is not advisable to stress your bike until the reserve light come on. It will cause your pump to work very hard to suck fuel from the reserve portion of the tank.

As for fuel flow, should be quite smooth. Cause for the bike there is another fuel vacuum suction device, just in front of the fuel filter to assist in the flow of the fuel. If fuel not smooth, might not be the pump itself. Must check this device too, cause I change the device before (Fuel Diaphram).

You mean the gear jump when you go over a hump in high speed? Tendency to jump gear if you go over a hump too fast. But normally this should not be happening. If happen again, better check the gear box. Cause, if this happens in a car, we have to take a look at the gear box itself.

As for last problem, like AMEN said, quite normal. But best to check, just on the safe side.

Plan to travel this few months. Advisable to change.

As for gear box, if lucky, only the gear fork giving you problem. Else you might have to change the gears in the gearbox itself.

huh i tot st if u cruise at 180 shd be okie?last time i ride my s4 cruise at 180 i still ok, only abit affected by the wind blast.

actually i think s4 if cruize at 160 shd be no problem, if cruise at 180-190 then the wind blast would wear u down.

frankly dun mind my bluntness but i think need to be direct...... firstly shop will nv ever let u change something so ex for free and not mentioning that it happended in 1) MALAYSIA 2) you yourself stress bike and let them know it 3) Its considered wear and tear which normally not covered by shops so called warranty.

I cant stress even more but 220 is too stress for ST11 cause i rode from thailand back home and 180 also already stress leh.....one thing I not old :cheeky: and i ever ride at 265km/h with luggage and pillion.

Bottom line bike limit and rider limit diff....its cohesive

Hidden_Agenda,

1 - get it replaced if u wana use it for long term.

2 - check with Honda parts stockist, they should have it BUT not inclusive of installantion.

years back a senior member's fuel pump gave up, cost him over $900 to replace it with installation.

3 - it's regulated by 'auto fuel cork'.

4 - gear box plm, could be the retainer spring loose, due to fair wear & tear. there r few members with this plm.

5 - inspect ur brake pads & service the caliper.

*** for u guys info,

I regretted using EBC (HH) brake pads...... brake effectiveness is no way near with original Honda's Nissin, cloudy dust built up around rim area.

very noisy screching sound is like 'very broke' to replace brake pads like that..

still monitoring the life span, it will be my 1st & the last pair of EBC(HH).
