To my bros of ST11,

This morning i make a terrible mistake :weep: i drop my bike ans i cant pull due to my bike ( Overweight ) im under weight !!! this is how is goes.... i wash up my bike ready to bring up the side stand then the bike i lost momentum and my bike jus fall / drop on the right side .

Well side signal abit koyak it ok the headache thing here is that now my pick up seems to have problem !!! no matter pick up or which ever gear i have kick in or even top end , the bike is like choking when ever i try to throttle more but the fuel refuse to flow, what am i suppose to do nw  ??

i did a check on all 4 spark plug holder its firmly intect even the fuel line too, what could be the reason that resulted this kind of attitude Bros ?, think i shall visit my workshop again to remedy it  cant imaging that a fall caould link to shortage of fuel and the impact wasnt strong though cos i tried my best to follow the bike all the way b4 landed on a so call ( Grass patch ) with some small tiny stones sad .:giddy:

And one last thing my full tank can travel up to 3++km/h which sink terribly while travelling at 180km/h destination is from ( JB ) to ( Ayer Hitam ) ard 110km ??? do i need a doctor to prescribe some medicine to my bike bros?

DR Guru,

find a down slope(multistorey carpark prefered) or run with it to jump start, use 2nd or 3rd gear, should be able to clear overflowed fuel with one attempt. by right it should be able to start after it tumbled.

higher FC u should look into ur riding habit.

Hi Bros.....

Hello to all ST owners..... I've seen there's growing number of ppl getting the beast laltely GOOD!!! Anyway welcome the club bros... Proud to see lots of ppl owning the beast.... BTW Simon i just got back KL and Fraser Hill was awonderful trip.. Anyway my shaft gives a click sound when i rotate forward(on the mainstand)

is it normal? BTW changed my fuel pump it seems to be working well.... Yahoo!!!

One one more tink... While i was riding up Fraser Hill (near to the top) suddenly my rear brake just felt spongy and there's no respone when i depress it!!! IT SCARE ME !!!) Stop at the top inspect it looks ok... so maybe i tot i used it heavyly so i rest for awhile smoke a ciggy... Then i depress it it returns back to normal .... FUNNY.... So far no pro. back to SG... Could anybody explain any logical explaination bout so FUNNY pro THks...

While i was riding up Fraser Hill (near to the top) suddenly my rear brake just felt spongy and there's no respone when i depress it....

It is due to continuous use of brake which heat up the brake pad then to your brake lines & fluid and cause your brake not effictive....

Sorry abt your bike's shaft problem i'm unable to give u solution to it

Again, thanks so much for the help. Where can I go to replace my windshield and how much does it cost? I heard there are several variations to it. What about accessories like mebbe backrest, security features, plus one of my locks from the box is spoilt.

I know there is a screw for the suspension. Turn it which way to lower it further? I would like to get all of this rectified before I go for some trips in June, Kuantan and Phuket at the end of this year. Is there any ST11 group outings anytime soon? Cheers! May all ST11 riders have a good day.

Just wanna know why u want to change your windshield. Think It about $300 over.

Backrest depends on condition and the seller... usually around $120 or more.

Security - alarm the range is too wide.

Change the lock - cost not sure...

Think the screw u are talking about is at the right. that only adjust the rebound (correct me if i'm wrong), actually u can try adjust the spring(preload) to the lowest and try.

anyway there will be a ride up to thailand this long weekends.

Bros,

Thanks to this forum, I managed to change my seat to a lower one with a fellow bro, Simon, who got his ST 2 weeks ago. He liked the higher one of mine, so did a mutual swap. Now I feel much better and confident that my feet can have a sure footing for sure hehehe.

His has a voltmeter at his headlight adjuster. Looks cool. How much to fit one in? BTW wun be able to come by this wednesday as my ST is in for a thorough service in a workshop. Would love to join the group going to Hadyai this vesak but due to work commitments can't go. Mebe will jus go for a short trip in Malaysia with wife. Might drop by next week for sure.

Other solution I found is to clean my windshield thoroughly. Bro Simon I met said that using autosol can do the trick. Any other recommendations? Plus where can I find or instal a ciggie light plug fro charging handphones or such?

Cheers!

Bro Simon ,

Send my ST11 to workshop for carb servicing guess what !! one of my nozzle is spoilt !! which resulted in loss of power ( Underpower ) & ( Over feeding fuel ) but im happy to spot this out break news early otherwise it will worsen the entire carbs phewww...... finally at ease now total damage coming to $350.

My riding habit is abit fussy who like to travel at 110km/h at expressway so more or less ( FC ) drop abit, according to my mech the main reason why my ( FC )drop is solved so i need not have to worry anymore.

Great thanks to the ( ST CLUB ) members for the great great help on the newbie to clear away the doubt :lovestruck: .

Bros,

Firstly, I think Bro Cool79 was referring to me hehehe. Yes I weighed the pros and cons of having a fast bike like the shortlived blackbird I had for a day. I guess I needed some form of speed which the ST does provide and yes definitely it can go above 200km/h once in a while, that's all I need actually. Largely, I am especially very happy with the COMFORT the ST has to offer. Even my daughter enjoys it which is a rarity. My sons felt that it is an old man's bike and it was a huge change coz they know my history with fast bikes especially my wife hehehehe. But I dun care, I jus love my ST now.

Bro PeerlST, thanks for the location. I know exactly where it is coz my son studies in Tg Katong Secondary School hehehe. I send him there every morning to school. So when or how regular do u guys meet and at abt wat time? Love to be there and have experienced bros advising me. Dun be surprise to see a midget like me around ok? I am very sensitive abt my size hahahaha.

Cheers! And have a nice day. God bless.

how much u lose when i change the bird to st?

i wish to change st away... but the lose i am getting isn't worth... so i had stick with st for 1.5 yrs liao....

now waitin for friend to sub me for sport bike

heehee

then can feel the speed.. 300km++++

DR Guru,

if I can rekon ur description it should be 'Float needle valve' OR could be 'Needle Holder Diaphragm', these diaghragm dont come cheap.

in the event if any one of these 'Float needle valve' r chorked with micro particles/dirt or rubber tip dented(fair wear/tear) can result into many malfunctions, these float needle valves aint that costly & all can be DIYed fyi.

oic.. years back I was quoted for about $170, right(starter & headlight switch) side around $90+ & $70+ for left side.

u need to remove tank, air filter housing & handle housing to access the connectors & lay the wire stem neatly to handle.
