I frequent this specific scooter shop. Im sure plenty of others do too. Few months back i did a full service to my bike, changing to Malossi Rollers and Belting.

As i frequent that place, knowing some mechanics i didnt stayed around the workshop to watch them do the servicing.

As trust and believe was there.

So i went to the coffeeshop to sit with a friend while they were doing my bike.

SUNRISE EUROBIKE was the shop.

Lately, when i was doing my bike stuff with the transmission box elsewhere, the mechanic told me the belting(so called MALOSSI) was not original. He compared my belting to the original one.

i was devasted, since i trusted the sshop, the mechanics had other ideas of betraying me. this is not to target the shop, but to other gilerians to be wary of whats going on ard them. thank u.

Common practices from shop.... You have not come to the worst of all.

Replacing unnecessary part which cost a bomb.

But it take 2 hands to clap. you can`t blame him...

Of course there is some trust worthy shop for us to visit.

I myself have been visiting this shop locating @ macpherson for 5years

He don`t have a nice shop, but his skill and knowledge do really earn my respect.

He don`t carry those racing parts like malossi and polini, but he have the know how to make your bike go faster without those parts.

Kallang cycle is another shop worthy to visit. He is former Future scootering mech.

Not siding anyone here.

U go A shop often to service. When u go B shop. B shop say ur malossi belt from A shop is chiong one. HArd to believe.

But never the less. It is common for some shop to bad mouth another shop to gain business. IT companies do that all the time. It in us.

That aside. I do not think that There's such a shipment of Chiong malossi belts around. If there is, alot of old timer will know about it.

Besides, Even if there is. Sunrise will be the last one to use chiong Malossi parts. Provide there's no more belts except Malossi belts around.

Some newbies will ask why. It's a known fact to us old timer that Sunrise boss is in very close terms with the Malossi Singapore agent.

Unless something happens between them that is not made known to old timers here. It's not likely at all.

Also at the same time. I'm not saying u are deliberately saying that you cook up a story. But I have to share something regarding malossi belts. If I'm not wrong, Malossi design the belt and a Belt manufacturer OEM for Malossi. This is the common practise all over the world and brands. The first batch of Malossi X Kevlar belt was a joke. It was the real thing. but the print was something else. Thus nobody actually wants them. But some old timer actually just use and try them out. Only to discover there's no diff in performance and lifespan. Of course the subsequent batch, the printing was corrected.

It's pretty common for product to change the print out from time to time.

I've change yuasa batt 4 times in 6 years. Almost everytime it's different print. But it cost around the same price and last as long.

A shop reputation takes a long way to built up to current reputation. At the same time, it's easy for just 1 sentence from a forumer to bring it down.

I'm not taking sides. But it will be fair if you can provide some pictures of comparisons. I believe we all have camera phones.

If you can post them here. I believe alot of old timers, moderators will be on the ball to find out the truth and trace the source of those chiong parts.

As a autoscoot rider, I'm too interested to know where the chiong parts are from and who is carrying them. No riders will torrorate paying top dollars for chiong parts.

Disclaimer: I don't ride any of the italian scoots at the moment and Ididn't patron any of the 3 top scooter shop for a long long time.

MOst probably not chiong but same belt from the same factory without the malossi print.

Hi kool7radz >>

I am very sorry to hear such feedback from you.

(As for Party B mechanic that has told you that the belting (so called MALOSSI) was not original. He compared my belting to the original one. ) >>

In order for us to have a clearer picture of what has happen during your past experience with us, could you pls PM us or leave down your bike no e.g FBA 1234 (A), name and contact no for me to trace your record in our systems?

At the same time, like what (BLACK COMET) has mentioned, (btw, Thank you Sir, it has been very good of you to voice out about your knowledge on Malossi).

To be fair to our shop reputation, to yourself and our fellow forumer mates who have trust in us for many years, could you please snap a picture of your Malossi belt that been fixed onto your baby bike, either email to [email protected] or MMS to 966 55 265, I will reply to your msg directly in the quickest speed! 

As we really believe there could be some sort of misunderstanding.

\Being an Authorized Dealer for Malossi products, we definitely will NOT allowed such event to happen and this is the very FIRST that we have heard off, we are so taken aback too IF you have request for a Full servicing changing to Malossi Rollers and Belting!

We will Definitely and WILL find out a reasonable ans with regards to the Fake/ Chiong Maloosi belt that you have mentioned. So contact us now! 

I am glad Sunrise has came in to clarify.

I would appeal forum members to use a wider view on the whole picture.

Do not harbor just hatred and the eagerness to flame the workshop that has overcharge you or so...

Lets work together, post constructive comments and critism on the bike shops or dealers, so that they can work hand in hand with end customers to make their service quality better. like ScarletRobin said, it take 2 hands to clap.

my 2 cents worth :)
