Thought you were a genius so you should be able to answer your own question.

Problem probably lies with your powervalve regulating... its either carbon coated to sluggish operation or stuck.

The valve only opens at 8K RPM, that's pretty far away from 5K. Once I hit 8K I still get the surge of power from the valve opening.

Have looked at your carb? When was the last time it was cleaned out?

i've experienced this problem before. can be dirty carb or your mainjet.

This is a common issue with 2 strokers.

Usually, the main culprit would be the carb.

I suggest you ask your trusted mech to wash and tune your carb. It should settle the problem. With proper tuning this issue can be eliminated.

Lastly, not all mechs can work on an italian beauty. Dont bring to any AhSeng, AhLim and AhTeck shop down the street.

Treat it with Grace and Respect. Its a work of art!
