where u change retifire and starter?? how much?? where??

retifire can change urself its 55 at ahboy.. dunno why other shop sell honda original at 145.

u can use s4 or blackbird retifire. if im not wrong its the same.

 

stator that one 250 at ahboy, honda sell it at 227. just got it changed 2 weeks ago.

juz give them kopi money to change it for u, cause that one need to open the crank case i would say if u dun have the tools and skills, ask shop to change it for u.

if u wan i have extra stator and retifire can sell u cheap2. haha

 

if u allready changed stator and retifire and ur voltage / charging remains the same, most probably ur wiring harness spoilt.

so i suggest u direct wiring from stator to the retifire.

i think so too, my mech gt say my clutch plate wearing already... lol.

 

any idea how much clutch plate cost?? including the labour?? i planning to change clutch plate.. hmmm..

can you guys give me a rough idea of how much to service my bike? im planning to change my engine oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs.

air filter you mean you changing to K& N? Normall i do, spark plug + EO (mobile gold) + oil filter + Engine ice = 200 got change back.

rvf spark plugs is 8mm plugs, racing plugs or whatever u call it. since its small, its expensive. go to fjt or ahboy it cost $15. of course u have to change it ur self.

$15*4=$60 or if shop $80 flat for all 4. oh ya, plug opener for rvf is $24. think of the savings u get every time u change it ur self.

 

rvf uses 2.4L if oil change, and only 2.5L if change with oil filter. Manual says 10w40. the great thing is rvf uses one less bottle than s4. haha yishun there 4 bottles of yamalube is ard 38.

depends on shop if they got package for eo+ oil filter + plugs. unique motorsports got such package.

heck i changed nearly different bottle everytime to see which is good on the bike. soo far bellray is quite nice on rvf. ' my opinion'

 

for air filter i only know of modification to the air box to fit the k&n filter to the existing airbox. just cut away the paper filter and the sub-filter and replace it with a fitting panel k&n filter.

For the guys on the RVF service etc etc. There is no K & N filter. Cluthc plates there are 2 layers. Best change both as many wil just change the plate or aka the multiple slides but not the bearing teeth. Guess should cost you abt $200+. Rectifier can use S4 or GXSR 400. If you think can use LAB's rect can try but frm my knowledge i got frends using it not long and got blown resulting more money to service again. The normal yamalube which the shops are selling if im not wrong aint the very top grade which Yamaha racing team is using,but thumb of rule still applys which is if you wana get e best performance out of your RVF which normall you will hard rev your bike den gd EO is the way to go. Cheers enjoy the RVF ride.

does anyone still have a rvf manual? or the hayness vfr/rvf manual? :D

 

i have it but its boring, unless u plan on stripping ur bike apart. i also have the parts catalogue. but its in japanese.. anyways u juz need the part number will do.

for the air filter part have to modify lor.. like i say, use back the old air fliter. cut away the paper filter then remove the sub filter and then get a k&n panelfilter into the old air filter. it sud look like this.
