Hi guys!

This question has been on my mind for quite some time now.

What if you park your bike on the pavement but it kenna stolen or someone stole something from it? Then when you call the police down, are they gonna summon you as well or something?

Just a thought. :cheeky:

No. I have always wondered what will happened. Can you imagine if you parked your bike on a pavement for 8 hours. Then someone stole your carburetor.

If you shift it to the side of the road and tell the police that you left it there for 8 hours, it would sound fishy. Moreover, it would hinder investigations if you lie even more as they have to entablish a time frame on when it was stolen.

I think that the police have to help you and open an investigation file but will they also summon you at the same time? Hmm...

They could...unless you have valid reason to park your bike there.

Example, bike broke down, no choice park there and call for tow truck, since its night time, mech shop closed. So leave bike there and contact tow truck tomorrow morning to be delivered to your mech shop.

The above do sound valid.

why would you wanna park on the pavement in the 1st place? Pavement parking is for the rich.

Guess this is the worst thing a biker want to face, Bike stolen yet kanne fine!

But again, it really seem like a good opportunity for Bike's Thieves to 'take' bike from the pavement's park-er. As most of US (even bikers) think it Tow's truck for a damage's bike.

meh juz say engine failure park on pavement for a while ?

Didn’t intend to park but rather stop for a few minutes cause wanted to pass something over to a friend etc

Just tell a little white lie which sounds believable
