My rear brake have this squeeking sound so I put my bike on mainstand and did the rear wheel spinning test as advise by AJ. Found out that the wheel doesn't turn smooth. Only able to spin a quarter round. So decided to change the calipers bolt. Through careful inspection, I found that the bolt is slightly round, got sign of being forced before (tighten or open).

Yesterday, went over to Auto Machinery to buy the brake calipers bolts. I took out $20 going to pay the boss. He said $5/pc, total $10 only... AJ brought it for $7 some months back... I think the boss must be in good mood...

Jus now getting ready to change the bolts. I remove the exhaust and then have a full access to the rear brake caliper. Before I loosen the bolt, I give it few hard knock and spray some WD40 over it. What worrying me started to take its toe... When I tried to loosen the bolt, it stays unmoved. Give it some more hard knock, and try again. Still have not move an inch... Then found that the slight rounded bolt started to slip, became more rounded... OMG... ****...

Gave up the DIY... Must look for HELP already...

Senior any recommendation !!!

the funny thing about auto machinery, the prices are like stock market...sometimes up,sometimes down.

the bolt used to cost $3 each.it depends on which jabroni you ask at the counter...the best price is given by the ol uncle with the specs...

but somehow, parts for yamaha,is way way cheap.not to worry.unlike the BMfookingW.

for your rounded bolt, you can try Mah motorparts.

next time if you want to try open the bolt by yourself, use the long T-bar spanner size 12.i think if you using stock end cans, you have to remove the right side of end can 1st.

Cos I'm a DIY person, got sense of satisfaction when things get done. I can know more about the bike through DIY...

Unless those that need special tools, skills etc, then I'll visit the bike shop...

Haha.. I ask the uncle is it $3... he said that was years years ago...

Roger, will get the long T-bar to pry it open... Yup I remove the stock end cans before attempt the bolt...

If everything still fail, will then try Mah Motorparts...

Thanks AJ...

2nd Round...

Thanks AJ for the enlightenment ! Use the correct tools...

Thanks wave125 & oozzzzzz for their kindness to borrow me their Impact Driver... It works wonder especially removing the rubber pad on the footrest...

Apart using the correct tools, still required a fair amount of milk strength...

Finally managed to get both bolts out of the tight cunt...

Yup there was sign of rust... After change wheel can rotate 2 rounds instead of the 1/4 round...

Overall satisfaction, 100%... Yea, DIY...

Next upcoming project would be dual low beam headlight and horny...

Err, I meant horn...

If you're using a single piece should not be an issue unless its the supertone (red) which is huge...

Mine got from my good friend now doing a MO... Best is to install both as its classified into high and low tone...

** Note: U need to used difference bracket for mounting...
