Hello TDM'rs anyone fit Hella Micro DE fog lights on ur ride? I picked up a set in USA, now looking to fit on my '07 TDM..any suggestion who can do it?

one TDM, simply80chup installed on engine guard/ crash bar before.

His bike has been sold off. but i managed to find some old photos..

i have one side, given by friend and still looking for another one.

 

who can fix it ? generally we can goto workshop (which you frequent most for normal servicing) and ask mechanic to fix for you.

 

or we can ask some fellow TDMers (vtr firestorm, virus, heaven51) who knows electronic stuff.

GPR exhaust is selling locally about 1300 S$.. so self import for 1,000 is not that good deal.

 

words around the street is Leo Vince aluminum can get less than 1,000 S$, if you know where to get it... (i do not know where)

Bro 2wheelsonly... Firstly, you need to locate a spot/position for your fog light (ie. crash bar)...

 

Best is to position it so that even when the bike topple to a side, it will not hurt/smash your light...

 

Next, determine whether you want the fog light to turn on all the time (like our headlight) or as when you need (recommended)...

If you want to on all the time, just tap the power from the main battery source.

Or else you need to tap in a switch to toggle the light... A relay is advisable for the additional lighting circuit, just like your horn which draws higher current for certain time...

 

Fixing and running the wiring is pretty simple, but you need to buy all the necessary stuff like cables, lugs, relay, cable ties...

I m at Raaub coming down from Cameron...already 2hrs of driving...the view n the harpin is out of this word...now ordering marybrown using this free wifi...heading down to bukit tinggi...c ya guys

If pipe is manufactured for TDM and you have required documentations, it is easy to legalize it.

 

but for other brands... yoshi, termi, which are modified to fit TDM, no chance to legalize it.

Thanks Kmax & Heaven51..i've been searching the web for other pics where to mount the lights. seems like best option for TDM is from the engine guard or hanger bolt. planning to wire up with low beam but like to add toggle switch, mostly plan to use with low beam to help fill in the blind spot on the right side. Any wiring guru care to comment or help out will be much appreciated. already contact mtechnik just waiting for reply over there.

Note.. Termi's have legal pipe for TDM. Call Racewerks look for norman for quote.
