Ahh this has been going on for years. I first learnt of it in the 90s, some dude had a regular dark grey 1.0 toyota starlet 5 door, although with bodykit and all. Hiding somewhere he also had a dark grey toyota starlet GT turbo 3 door. Sometimes late at night he'd swap the number plates over and take the turbo for a drive.

Abit silly to have both the cars running with the same plates at the same time though.

ok.. i read that news.

One owner who owns a Mit Lancer EX 1.5 kept receiving summons/fines which he did not commited. As a result, he went to make a police report.

Then one fine day, some parking warden (if I dont remember wrongly) called and informed that he had saw a car bearing the same no plate as his car. Therefore, he drove down to the scene and saw that it was true. The other party was a Mit Lancer Evo X. Both same white colour.

Seems like the owner of the EVO X works as a valet some where in Boat Quay as reported in the news. The place where he worked as a valet is where complainant likes to patronize.

Both fraudulent cases, our mitsu fellow preying on another mitsu owner and the system. The toyota fellow just preying on the system, cos both also his cars.
