Any advice which makes of oil filter is compatible for Suzuki motor, because the original oil filter for suzuki motorcycle oil filter is 3.5 times more expensive than my car's oil filter which cost only $5 each.

Well, I saw before an article/ photo while servicing at Hong Leong.

It was about this bike, which engine got badly screwed up. The blame was directed at a unofficial oil filter which the owner used.

Well, dont know how real it is, but for bike essentials, I go with originals.

You can buy the original Suzuki oil filter at KS motorcycle @

127 Jalan Besar, Singapore 208845

It only cost me around $10~$12 per unit but is made in China now. OEM are usually more expensive. Yeah, oil filter supposed to be dirt cheap.

It seems I have no choice but to use the original oil filter as its stated, there are no replacement for the type which I am using.

These Oil Filters

have 20 x 1mm threads,

11 psi by-pass valve,

anti-drain back valve.

None are recommended.

This is a proprietary Suzuki

thread, and no high performance

filters are made for 20mmx1mm

threads.

Try Ever Success near Mustafa. They should have a K & N oil filter for you.

Cheers.

Just an update. Recently I went KS to buy Suzuki oil filter. They offer me an alternative. The brand is Mirai. I did a search and it is by a Japan company but made in China. Cost me $8 each. Cheaper than OEM of $12 which is china made as well. Since most Suzuki oil filter is universal plus KS is doing Suzuki parts, I buy their words and bought it to try. But I still got 5000km more before I change my EO.
