NTUC's May Day Carnival & Concert 2005

Esplanade, from 4pm to 9.30pm.

FW will be fired from the same spot as last year.

 

FYI, maybe u all already know that there is firework (fw) this sunday.

im not a photographer but i do think photography is very interesting...i will definatley persue this when i really have more $$$(anyway i really know nothing about this)...but 1st let me ask u pros a few questions....

 

im currently having a Canon Ixus 40...i know itz not an SLR or wat...but juz would like to know if it is possible to take good pictures with such a camera?(or my skill sucks?) i know there is a difference between these basic digi cameras and the slrs...maybe u guys got some tips dat will make things work for this Ixus 40 that i dunno of...

 

and wat is considered a "good" picture?

1st of all, i'm not a FT photog, just a hobbyist.

 

there is no rule says that dslr or slr can produce good pics.

nor there is any rule says DC (digital cam) is not good.

 

here is a photo taken using a dc.

what do you think? no digital manupulation done except resizing.

it is the creativity that will delivers, no matter what dc u use.

 

i have a fren, who actually won a printer in last year's PhotoMarathon organised by Canon. guess what, he only use canon A80. and he still does.

somemore he is colour blind.

 

so, it doesnt matter, creativity is important. keep shooting and have fun.

btw, how to judge a good photo?

well, it is subjective to individual.

do u find monalisa painting impressive? i dont.

 

some love it at the 1st sight, some have to ponder for awhile, some have to think deep, some dont like, some dont even bother to look at it.

dig out old photo and convert to jpg from raw using capture one pro.

purpose is to try out this digital imaging software.

http://www.phaseone.com , some say this is better than Adobe PSCS.

 

note:

image will be removed shortly.

no need to comment abt the strap thing. for ur nose bleed purpose only.
