btw, i had a old tamron 80-200mm manual focus lens (canon mount), possible to convert to nikon mount?

can be use on DSLR if it is not a AF?

Yes, possible.

You will need to get a EOS-to-Nikon Mount. Even with AF, you will still need to use Manual Focusing.

Cheers

sorry, i tend to agree with scud. nothing beats the excitement of slides and b/w :cheeky:

i prefer the medium format slide. way superior to digital anyday.

but then again, since i also like b/w and developing/processing my own film. my slr is still here to stay :thumb:

Cos I prefer to see my shots instantly on the laptop.

Your photos appeared to be under exposed.

Perhaps you can try downloading the sReala curves to your D70s (highly recommended). Also, put your EV to +0.3. Dun worry abt anything now. Just go out and SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT!

Btw, it is a MUST to protect your lens with a filter.

Posted

oh, fotogentic curve not as good as the sReala curves?

i'll download it tonight, must do it quick before the trial Nikon Capture goes expiry...

already book the UV filter from one seller in Clubsnap, man, that forum is good, lots of info & the buy & sell section got a lot of good bargains.

Trying using a Portrait mode instead of landscape for such photos. Avoid cutting off the tree in half and if you need to go low to capture it, go on all fours.

Always take your photos in color coz you can turn color into B&W but to turn B&W into color,

Nevertheless, nice try and go take more photos. Btw you can check out SLCC courses for newbies to learn more abt your D70s. Afterall it costs only $20.00

The course is very basic but enough for you to understand the basic terms used in photography.

Haha dun be limited by your creativity. You can "zoom" out with ya legs, back and forth.

The entrance to the bridge is currently covered by the construction site. The bridge is situated just beside the mini bus interchange under Sheares Bridge along Boulevard Ave.

I still confuse about the hyperfocusing, read some book, still can't get it correctly...

the skyline view i took mostly are soft, still can't figure out how to get sharp pic... :giddy:

The new custom curver is good, it give balance exposure and not much photoshop work to do.

Hi Sev,

Most of your portrait shoots looks more like snapshoot to me. If possible, try to contain less of the background. Many of the shoots are cut off rather abruptly. Perhaps you can go get a 50 f1.8 (ard $180) and trying using f2.2 to f2.8 to get a shallow DOF for Portraits.

As for the landscape, it is generally well executed but try to show more of the sea since there's nothing much left in the sky. The softness is not because of the camera or techniques but becoz of your kit lens. Try to apply USM using Photoshop for a sharper photo.

Hope you enjoy shooting and continue shooting!

Cheers
