Yo busa bros ...

I had put up a topic in Garage Sales to ask ard if anyone letting go of their K2 or above model Busa. I actually need a replacement fuel pump as mine has a damaged motor, which causes the pressure to drop at higher RPMs. As such, I'm stuck halfway with my Dyno. Anybody got any lobang? Or anyone got spare fuel pump?

See ya ...

A damaged motor at high RPM only? Sounds not too politically correct here. A damaged pump will not works at low or high RPM.

Here are some pics of my 99 (fuel pump located outside of fuel tank)

this is the tricky part..you need to exert some force to get the housing of the paper type filter out (like those fuel filter of kap kia, secured by o ring) and do a little research to find a couple of fine wire mesh type filter too...clean throughly but don't tear them :)

here's the diagram for 99/00...opss..for got to mention..if your motor is kaput i.e. no grrrr sound when switch on...check your wiring connection first...even test the pump by connecting directly to the battery source (pls do this with a qualified mechanic)..if confirm kaput..don't throw away this pump...disassemble it and savage as many little parts as you can :)

for all models...clean the throttle body too while you are still there....pics below shows the injector still attached to the throttle body...Caution: do not wind blast the injector..your mechanics should know the proper way to clean your injector if necessary to do so...(it cost RM70 per injector to be "machined" cleaned at auto shop)

after all this fuel management parts serviced....you get a new bike :)

but if the costs of servicing is about the same as replacing a new one...you know what to so :) or come to Malaysia :) or try a bottle of fuel injection cleaner...

too much carbon due to too much city riding

go whack yr throttle once in a while to clear carbon plus u go buy fuel system cleaner it helps too. u will find the rpm restored. but after alot of city riding (low rpm riding) the same problem will reappear

Regarding the fuel injection cleaner, some said it's all BS but frankly I don't know but I've used them several times. The fuel pump was almost 100% clean when opened but the bigger pieces of dirt might flowed out together with the fuel. The kap chai filter was a bit stained but reuseable and does not block the fuel as far as I was told. The only obvious dirt I noticed was some gunk at the butterfies wall.

Yo bro razin ...

Thanx for the info that u posted. However, my fuel pump motor is only able to pump out a low pressure of fuel at low RPMs. It is not able to pump out the amount of fuel required within the higher RPM ranges and as such, unable to do a full DYno.

What is required is to either change the whole fuel pump or rectify the damaged motor. Very sian eh. Just waiting for someone to reply to either one of my posts and take up my offer.

See ya ...
