Hi All,

i just bought a 2nd hand bike. Have the insurance. Previously the bike was laid up. So a day before i got the bike, the bike shop just sent for inspection. The road tax was applied on the same day as the insurance. So when i got the bike, i didnt get the road tax along, as bike shop said that they applied it online and will take one week. My question is, if i got stop by TP, can i say that its applied and waiting for the road tax to come? I'm road tax less at the moment. Pls advise.

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

got insurance? as long as you got insurance, you are safe.

unless your insurance already in-force, but road tax only 6 months when you got your insurance.

LTA/TP are able to check the validity of your road tax when they comm back to HQ.

Can anyone verify this? I thought you still have to display your disc, even though your roadtax is valid?

do not need to physically display the rd rax disc. i merely keep it together w/ my insurance cert underneath pillion seat sealed in ziploc bag. when requested to produce the items during road blk, no issues at all.

IMO, it's just a small piece of paper & doesnt take up much space. no point saving on such thing & end up spending more time at the roadblk / roadside if the police have to verify yr road tax status via radio.
