Lost of '01 R1 Key

What should i do if i lost my key for my 2001 R1? I think I may have accidentally put it inside the pillion seat compartment but without the key, I cannot open the compartment.

 

What options are there for me? I'm thinking of breaking open the compartment if no other way...

-use a stiff wire and try to hook em up, might to peel open the seat abit at the side, maciam durian haha

-cut away the seat cushion and into the hard pastics. worst case, ned to buy new cushion only to paste over the small hole.

You Dun Have Spare Key To Open The Seat Compartment?

If u r still under instalment, try asking for the bikeshop the spare key...

 

They should hv it...

u should have 2 key. if u only got , most probably u're bikeshop holding on to the spare, unless u already lost the spare beforehand in which case.....break u're seat with little damage as possible

I bought directly from another person, not from bike shop. He dont have the spare. Seems like breaking open the seat cover is the best choice...

 

I'm no expert in breaking seats...think cutting the seat cover is better than peeling by the side. hope to minimize damage and repair.

 

Locksmiths can do or not? I read in other places they ask locksmith to duplicate key.

no need break the seat lar just tow ur bike to the lock smith next ah boy at kelantan lane there the can dismantle ur lock set and re duplicate ur key for u that wat i did last time but u can try asking b4 u go down
