My sp when at low rpm will not have power at all, i must throttle up the rpm to gain power if not the bike will tend to stall its engine. But when the rpm is high, there isn't any problem at all, bike have alot power. Just that low rpm really cannot make it. Any guys know wat is the problem?

It's due to design of 2 stroke engines - you get much more power and efficiency at high revs. Trying to save fuel by "cruising" at 3000rpm (at 60KPH!?) actually wastes more petrol.

Sportsbikes are tuned this way too because they need more horsepower to chiong. Rev away!! :D

Technical stuff - check out the sonic compression explanation, which uses the exhaust chamber to literally, supercharge the cylinder at high revs

Your SP also has a racing valve to optimise top end power.

Lol power valve open all the time?

What does that do to the top end and FC?

no.

Valve close all the time/set accordingly.

FC great improvement. Estimate ard 50km more.

Unlike some other close-minded persons I don't doubt those claims. These small bikes are pretty darned amazing once poked with a stick, or in this case, scissors :D

manual set la.. if u want power low rev.. it be powerful at low rev..

but becareful not to force it to high rev, will jam ur piston. haha

:thumb: now small cc 4 strokes are getting faster and faster too.

Lol sounds fun. I'd hook up a solenoid to the valve so press button to open power valve lol.

Would go well with the hand-operated chain oiler, the strange water tap under my seat, .. but wait I don't ride an SP. LOL.

i tot of putting a switch on the valve motor.. hehe

but i aredi trade in my sp lah..

anyway another way to improve low end and also improve throughout the range is by fitting a bigger (flatslide) carb.

its a good mod!

Yep that works. But I'm afraid it might require further mods after that (tuned intake must go with tuned output for max potential); not to mention the price of extra power is more fuel burnt!

Rather lighten the rider and the bike (SP is very light already, right?), optimise the sprocket sizes for often used speeds. Buy used big bike for power :D

hey guys. since u guys are talking about sp valve here, i'd like to ask something. My valve cable is broken. So what do i have to do? Just go to mechanic to have it replaced? is it an easy job? costly? thx for the help in advance.
