Urgent need technical expertise!!!

I was riding my bike on ecp today. As i was riding half way suddenly my bike got no electricity... As in all the lights on the bike suddenly dun work... The speedo and tacho also. But the thing is the bike still work.

 

Then as the bike still can move i tried to travel home. everything seems normal except when i reach rpm5 the bike suddenly sound like machine gun and i experience ''HUGE'' lost of power. i slowed down and when it reached below rpm5 all is normal again...

 

 

wat is the possible reasons... i have to work not much time to travel to bike shops... so i wanna know wat is the prob and approximately how much do i need for the repairs so i can prepare myself....

Be prepared to replace some major electrical parts; it sounds extremely serious. CDI? Something shorted out?

 

CDI is not cheap.....

Check you fuse box. The fuse for the lighting system must have burned out.

Juz to share experience... suzuki hayate 125 (auto)

 

1. Mileage 6k. move off from traffic light, open throttle abt 10m, suddendly everything quiet, no electric, no engine, cannot start (electric & kick). lyk whole bike kana kill... Problem: fuse break.

 

2. Mileage 8k. speed happily.... suddendly lyk machine gun fire non stop.... whole bike lyk eat too much steroid...vibrate lyk hell... very noisy... very loud... big big power loss...pick up lyk walking... Problem: carburator dirty.

Did u call Singapore Power and tell them about it ??

I had a similar encounter before, half way through my journey the bike power cut off totally. But after I stop by the road side, I can crank up the engine as per normal. I send it to shop for inspection, boss told me that my grounding was bad... before this incident, I experience phenomena like once engine start and left idling it would cut off suddenly and "re-initialize". My trip meter will be reset.

Could be DEAD battery. Better to check all the fuse first.

Are you guys referring to starter relay fuse?

 

By the way it happen when you shift gear or it happen on all gear?
