I've recently moved to the Boon Lay area and need to find a shop where I can get parts for my CG125. I intend to rip it apart and rebuild the thing for practice (nothing like having a bike with ZERO resale value that you can practice on). So, any recommendations for a good bike parts shop in this area?

Also, I'm unfamiliar with Singapore laws regarding the disposal of used oils / lubes, etc. Back home, you just go to an autoparts shop and dump the stuff for free. Are there places like that here? If so, any you recommend in the Boon Lay area?

Thanks

My suggestion, don't patronize the less well known in Jurong West Area. Been to few of them and gotten ridiculous price quotes and disturbing "information" about the non-existent troubles on my bike, a Suzuki GSR 400 (One even thought mine was a new GSX-R).

Head down to dealers for Honda parts to have a peace of mind. Or you could go down to Unique Motorsports in Toh Guan industrial park, also, there are some motorcycle repair shops too.

Anyway, most bikeshops would be happy to dispose the waste oil for you. Just bring it down to their shop and dump into their waste oil barrel. If I'm not wrong, there are also some motorcycle shops in Tuas area.

I'll be happy to show you around. I've been living in Jurong West for sometime now.

I stay boonlay for a gd 26yrs before moving to woodlands. Boonlay area have no bike shop. Nearest is jurong west and jurong east. But like lexanaz mentioned, better go elsewhere coz they can be pretty pricey.. Maybe due to lesser patronage.

Anyway, there are two bikeshop along jln tukang. One is no. 26 I think. And they do carry parts for older bikes, rxk, rxs and the likes.. Should go check it out. Jln tukang is off corporation road, near the AYE (taman jurong)...

i don't know about boon lay, but as a CG owner myself, I'd recommend going to Hee motors to do your bike cos ah hee has got experience with old bikes. That's at Hamilton road.

Alternatively you could go to Yi Yang motor at pasir panjang if you're looking for somewhere nearer the west. The boss there ah chua is really good with old bikes. Problem is that he doesn't seem to be able to find parts. Usually I go to United Impex at Rowell road to buy spares and then go back to ah chua for installing them. United impex usually has all the spare parts you need to build your CG up.
